The good news for uga fans is that even though Mark will several NCs at Miami he was never going win one at uga. The bad news is, neither is anyone else, unless another Hershel Walker walks througeh the door. See Miami wins big games with any good coach, uga does not.
If Mark was a better Coach, he would have won more at Georgia. He will win more at Miami because Miami will give him the edge that he lacks as a coach.
Uga has won massive number of NC since 1940 —— two. They just are not championship school. I doubt anyone will win there. Mark might win one some place else but Miami will definitely get him a couple. So I agree Miami gives him an edge, but I am not certain it is the only place he could win. We wil neve know cause he will finish his career at home.
I think Miami is the only place Mark can win big at. The program has Edge. The program has encouraged Mark to leave his comfort zone. Mark was not with anything like the turnover chain but went with it because Manny asked him to. Look at the results. Al Golden recruited good players. Al Golden couldn't win for obvious reasons. Mark knows how to win. Mark is winning with Golden's players. The program gives Mark that extra Edge that he lacked as a coach.
Like I said, we will never know that. The important thing is that mark will win here. The media will heap praises on him and we will love him, deservingly. But, he will be the 5th coach to win aNC here. As you say, Miami is special. But to do’s miss mark without credit is wrong. The special thing I think he has brought and given the team is confident CALMNESS it had only under Howard. I was worried he was too calm but it seems to have been a blessing. In January we will be cheering and drinking happy booze and the bulldogs will be crying and drink sad booze. Mark is family, has come home and together we have brought back The U.
