Scares the **** out of me. This is Badgley reincarnated. It's hard to win a dogfight when you cant rely on your kicker to make a gimme. He missed a chipshot against FsU last year that almost cost us that game. Missed a field goal against LSU when we were trying to comeback. Missed a kick against Duke in a close game we lost. That miss Saturday cost us the game plain and simple. Was a 10 point swing and we had the momentum back. Until we get another Huerta or at least Sievers we are hosed. Hope this recruit we got is the real deal because Bubba is gonna kill us.

I almost feel like the staff should take the delay of game penalty when they're attempting a chip shot field goal from a tight angle. He seems to be pretty automatic when he's a few yards deeper but those short kicks from the far hash are a bit of an adventure

Keep in mind that he had to kick that FG right after having a great run on the fake FG where he took a hard cheap shot out of bounds. We should have been able to capitalize on that new set of downs instead of making him kick it like 30 seconds later.

If Baxa is Badgley reincarnated then we are set. Notice how you listed every one of his missed field goals from last season in like 2 sentences.
In our big games all the other games we should have curb stomped the opponent

Can't put this loss on any one thing, we had the chance to win but did not....we don't fumble, we win, we get that kick, that gives us a chance to win with another kick, the refs flag that false start on UF we win, the refs dont pick up the PI flag in the end zone, we win.....can't blame just one person...we clearly beat ourselves in that game and everyone knows it, especially then gates

Yeah, I have zero confidence in Baxa. Badge was actually a good kicker overall, he just tended to choke and miss kicks when you needed them most. He could kick the crap out of that 53 yard field goal when you were up by 21 points, though! This guy, I just don't know....we have a sample size of one season and one game, and he hasn't shown us anything.

A reliable kicker is something Miami always had when it was good.......inevitably we always had to call on kickers to make clutch kicks in big games. That's been lacking for us.

To his defense the Duke miss last year were awful conditions times 50 and the snap sucked. The FSU miss was bad, the LSU miss was his first ever game and Saturday’s miss was bad. Wasn’t he perfect on extra points last year and he booted a ton of balls for touchbacks. Had 2 short kicks Saturday but one took a nice hop and had good coverage on.

Badgely? You mean the nfl kicker? Yeah I’d take his reincarnation.

They were all in the games that we lost or the FsU game. Point is, when we need him he comes up short. I expect 100% inside the 30. He missed two against our rivals in tight games. LSU we needed and Duke we needed. He just isn't clutch and that is a problem.

Look, there's no doubt that was a huge miss. But laying the game at his feet is a stretch. Bottom line the defense gave the offense the ball back with time on the clock down 4 pts. UM had every chance to win the game and couldn't capitalize.
