Bryce Perkins

We love to shoot into the backfield. These QBs are best played by having controlled rush lanes. That's not something we do at all. Its not terrible if he runs. Its terrible if have him and the RB run on us. We also need to force TOs.

watched tape from all of UVA’s games this year and this kid shouldn’t be a problem on Saturday for us. Kid can run but is limited as a passer extremely inaccurate down the field with some god awful mechanics. Defense should feast Saturday
I just don't think we're at a point where we can say any D1 team or qb won't be a threat. Be reminded we were getting our ***** pushed in before the come back. That said if we play tight in coverage and come up on the rb on swings out the backfield we should be fine.

The D line will eat as it always does and he will be running for his life.
We go up by a couple of scores and the DL will just be able to pin its ears back and feast some more.

Let our front 4 generate the pressure and the LBs and Safeties situationally blitz but for the most part be a little more disciplined than usual and we'll dominate them and give them fits.

DBs that play press/man coverage can keep their eyes in the backfield to contain. He's no threat to go over top.

I just don't wanna see the loaded blitzes coming from one side of the field (similar to the one Redwine sacked Frenchie and the one that LSU gashed us with a 50 yard TD) because he'll avoid it and get a chunk play every time.

Oh you mean the blitz that was pretty well disguised and frenchy didn't even see coming that resulted in a turnover...

Have Pickney spy him and then blast him when he runs

Problem solved

Diaz likes to use safeties as spies on obvious pass downs, he will even replace lb to get them on the field. Look for Carter to play that role mostly

If Miami can get in the backfield, its a wrap.
If Miami can't get in the backfield, or Mendenhall puts together a solid offensive gameplan where they utilize the dump offs and the middle of the field (like they did last year)...Miami will have their hands full.
