Can’t teach those instincts. Still have concerns about physicality but this is the exact type of team where 1) those deficiencies are easiest to hide and 2) hopefully some of this defense’s mentality rubs off on him.
He’s going to need to add weight obviously to become an elite safety who can do both. Right now he’s pacing for 5+ interceptions this season which is amazing for a freshman but he’s listed at 172 pounds.
That INT was super impressive. Flashed onto the screen out of nowhere. His frame doesn't look like he will ever be over 200 pounds but that is okay. He just needs to be a willing tackler which he showed on Saturday. He definitely has all the tools to be an elite ballhawk free safety at the college level and potentially more.
Very impressive early on, need him to show some physicality against the run, but you can easily see his elite athleticism, seems like another big hit from last year's class
With the physicality he has shown on the field, his ceiling is limitless. He has always had top of the mountain ball and coverage skills. Now he’s showing physicality. What a take right there
