Bruce Feldman Says a Loss to UL puts Golden on THE HOT SEAT

The last thing I want is ANOTHER coaching change. Watch our 2015 and 2016 classes fall apart. Watch us rebuild AGAIN.

I'm tired of rebuilding. We've been rebuilding for a decade. I want us to be BACK NOW.

That said, my old *** is hoping like **** that we win that game at Louisville and puts the doubters to rest.

If we do lose that game, and if the season does go to **** (I would consider 7 games going to **** by Miami standards, I don't care how much the bar has been lowered recently) then I guess we need to do what we need to do.

The problem is, IF the Golden hire was a bad one, that makes THREE ****** hires in a row by this administration. What on earth makes you think they'll get the fourth one right????

It'll be the same dopes hiring the next guy.

The problem with Coker and Shannon, and I see it in Golden a bit too, is they're all too LIKEABLE and NICE. It's almost like Grandma Donna (and I know a thing or two about old ladies) values having a nice wholesome coach over a winner.

You can't think that way. Some of the best coaches are ********. We need a ****y, arrogant ************ with a chip on his shoulder coaching at Miami. That's what Howard was, that's what Jimmy was, **** that's what build this program. Look at Louisville. They don't give a single **** about having a "nice" head coach, they went straight after the biggest somofobych they could find.... because they wanted a WINNER first and foremost.

Do you honestly think a kindly old lady like Donna will hire someone like that???

If the answer is "no," then you better hope to **** Golden works out.

If we lose to UL by 3 TDs he should get the lane kiffen treatment. 2 teams before Nebraska for coley to get settled in as interim and we could bring in a defensive "consultant" too.

Don't let her get to you. She has been working hard to get a reaction.

Randy was doing a heck of a lot more wrong than losing ONE game. Al Golden has more commits for the 2016 class than Randy had two months away from signing day. Think about that. Randy was also burning bridges locally, where Golden is building them. There were so many thing Shannon did wrong that Golden isn't. Also, the administration knows the crap storm that has just passed with the NCAA. They are going to give Golden time. Now I want Golden to start winning on a high level as badly as any real Cane fan, but when the man is doing so much right, stocking the team with more talent than it's had in many years, there is no "hot seat" for a loss to UL. No freaking way.
Exactly. There is no hot seat for Golden. Look at the recruits he's bringing in. Look at all he's doing right. The administration isn't going to fire a guy doing so many things right, unless he just falls the heck apart, both on and off the field. One stinking game will never put him on the hot seat. It's a clean slate now that the NCAA mess is over. Hot seat my eye.
Is Feldman financing the payout? After the B.S. we've been through the last 3 years, Al will get a couple of years to turns this around. Anybody that follows the Canes would understand that, so he's just throwing his made up story out there to get attention. I can get better news on the Canes form some posters on this website than the imposters on the others. It would would be a more legit story if were Cory Feldman reporting, his eyes pertruding from the grave.

Randy Shannon says hello.

If you follow recruiting then you would know a commit for a class two years down the road means squat. He isn't exactly killing it in 2015 and there is no "cloud." You don't keep a coach for a class two years down the road. Unfortunately, it will happen. Don't forget the PSU scandal Golden pulled, Randy never tried a stunt like that.
Nobody wanted Randy!

Old "get off my lawn" *** nlgga. Shut up. You sound like a fat girl. "I can't leave him, what if I can't do any better!?"

You want Miami to "settle" on a coach? Coach sucks you fire him and start over. Period. I'm sure you were one of the many last year pointing to our top 5 class and how losing Golden to Penn St would hurt it. It fell anyway.

You don't retain a loser. You clean house and go after it again. This is a competitive football power, not a pop warner team. Produce, or pack your stuff. This loser mentality and mindset of accepting mediocrity is terrifying. You're part of the problem.

Lose to UL, and the wheels might come off right from the beginning. Make no mistake. This is a HUGE game for UM and Golden.

UL is bringing in an entirely new system on offense, defense and special teams, and they lost their best players from last year. UL should not be expected to be clicking on all cylinders the first game of the season with 3 entirely new systems.

On top of that, they have a new QB with no experience. Bad DC with a pretty complex system that takes time to learn. UM recruits from a better talent pool than UL. If Al can't go out there and get this win, then he's going to have an uphill battle to keep things together this year.

Way too many things in his favor for this game (forget the Rustled Bowl because it's meaningless for THIS matchup) for him to lose this game.

if were blown out id agree. a tough loss would make no difference and golden is fine. he will be judged on his body of work this year but **** get a 5th year due to Shapiros. bS.

That makes sense in a vacuum, but fans don't think that way. Fans are ready to flip the switch on him. If he blows this game, then there won't be much hope around the program. Too many factors in our favor fir this game.

And that's when things start getting salty. That's how coaches lose jobs. When fans lose hope coaches lose jobs.

You are right. Our fan base is weak as ****. Knee jerk type, just see the fire butch banner. Then the I love golden banner LAST YEAR.

4 years isn't knee jerk. I'm hopeful he turns it around, but if we lose to UL, then it'll be a disaster around UM. The players have shown a willingness to shut it down on him too, so it's not just the fans he'll be battling if he lays an egg opening night.

Well, I don't know about that, but IMO, it certainly sets the tone for the rest of the season( or at least the first month)

But regardless, why dont we let this season play out first before putting out any hot seats?

Yeah, no ****. You sound like an idiot with this "I want us back now" crap. We've been saying that for 10 years.

In regard to rebuilding, however, the situations would be different in how a new coach would walk into the program now vs. how it was when Golden arrived.

Golden has recruited well enough that a new and capable coach could come in and succeed. We are in the ACC ******* Coastal. We have more talent than our competition in the division. We shouldn't have to worry about rebuilding at this point. Get it done.

The problem is, IF the Golden hire was a bad one, that makes THREE ****TY hires in a row by this administration. What on earth makes you think they'll get the fourth one right????

It'll be the same dopes hiring the next guy.

So that means we stick with Golden even if he ***** the bed again next year? All of the Golden slurpers love to point out the disadvantages of the UM job as to why we're so lucky to have Golden on board. GTFO. Coordinators like Pat Narduzzi or Chad Morris would walk on coals to be the head coach of Miami.

You're putting false info out based on what you want to believe.

I'm telling you directly from inside her office, she believes she was made a fool of during that situation. She was ****ed. He lost a lot of good will with her.

If you don't believe meet me somewhere.

I believe this, the way he handled that situation was worse than last years late season collapse, IMO

We lose again to UL - Golden needs to catch his own ride back to Miami.

He doesn't have "it."

He no longer has any good will built up among the administration, nor the BOT. He burned all those bridges just a few months back.

He loses to UL, and the fan base - correction - the verbal fan base will demand his head.

If it's the Russell Bowl Part Duex, the fans may fire him like they did Radio at the USF game in 2010. Can you imagine how bad attendance will be for FAMU and Arky State, THEN vs Duke, if we get bloiwn out at UL, and are heading into Duke 2-2?

That 2,000 USF game attendance in 2010 may be a highlight.

Oldman made one good point that no one here wants to touch, but lets get real, that's the big motherf*cking problem we have.

What the **** makes ANYONE think that we are going to get the right coach next time? Al Golden and Randy Edsall were the finalists for this job. Randy Shannon was who they picked before that. And that was a few years from back to back MNC appearances, a Title, and one of the longest win streaks in Div. 1 Football. And RANDY F*CKING SHANNON was the best we could do.

If AG has to go, then he has to go. But be careful what you wish for. I have ZERO faith that UM is going to get any top level coach that can walk in here and get this program firing on all cylinders overnight. Its going to be yet ANOTHER "rebuilding process" and more "steps, and pillars" and bullsh*t.

I dont think a loss in the UL game fires up the hot seat, unless its some kind of embarassing bloodbath. But he needs to show something this year. He needs to show that this "process" is working and he's building something. That the players are buying in and learning the "system" and "scheme" and all that sh*t. That's what I need to see, and I think that's what most of the level headed fans want to see. I want to be able to see that this is going somewhere. That we are taking the next step. There are always going to be the hot heads that want to WIN NOW OR DIE. You cant run a program with that mindset. Not unless you can drop 5 million a year on an HC. It took Butch some time to get it just right. And even then, it was that scrawny kid from Cali that was the missing piece that brought it all together.

Hopefully AG's cake is finally ready to bake, and another kid from Cali is the piece we have been waiting for.

I have no idea how this game is going to go, but UL absolutely tortured us on both sides of the ball last year and unless everyone one of those lineman are gone, I'd say they have a huge advantage playing at home. Plus we have a total question mark behind center. At least we have hope, but I'm not seeing why anyone would think we'd be a favorite in this game.

Why shouldn't it? Miami has had better recruiting classes in the last 4 years than Louisville. This is Golden's 4th year compared to a 1st year coach in Petrino. Louisville just kicked our *** in the last bowl game. How can you justify not winning this game? You can't.

This is so idiotic.

If Golden proves he's not the guy this season, you do not retain him. Period. I don't give a **** if, in YOUR mind, there's as small as a 1% chance of finding the right guy, that's still 1% more than what we would have with a proven failure as a coach.

This line of thinking is so bizarre.
