I didn't even get to the potential for p;layers quitting after game one. But with the schedule, and Golden's teams history, it wouldn't be a surprise if the team laid down quick like in 2011 or 2013. (2012 they won a couple games at the end). I would say recruiting next year will take a hit if we go 7-5 or a bad 8-4.

Unless it's a 7-5 type yr. no way on the hot seat. The future is looking bright. He just need to keep it together this yr. it seems pieces are falling into place.
Miami has been down for a while. Rome wasn't built in a day. Remember the mopes are the same ones that flew a banner for the firing of butch Davis. And the same ones who flew one for their love of Goldie. A knee jerk reaction fan base, and I am part of it. Pretty weak actually.

He didn't say Golden is getting fired if we lose to Louisville, he said Golden will be on the hot seat. Meaning if he loses to Louisville and doesn't win the coastal then their will be issues. If the team loses to UL and turns the season around wins the costal he's not going anywhere. Just win and he won't have to worry about it.

What makes you think if AG get his @ss whooped again by the same team with less talent he is the man for this job? AG has more talent than UL and if we lose he should be fired after that game if you ask me. Why wait around because the sooner we can stop the bleeding by getting a coach of quality the faster we can play in a legit bowl game

Down the rode he'll get looks from other teams and probly hc somwhere I understand that we shouldn't now. Just pitching an idea

The decision about whether to fire Al Golden is squarely up to Donna Shalala and, perhaps, the AD. People can surmise what they THINK SHE MIGHT do under certain circumstances, but I suspect a lot of us are relatively clueless about her thought processes. My guess is that there is almost no way Golden gets fired in the near future, but, admittedly, that opinion is based partly on my speculations about how Donna sees things.

If you follow recruiting then you would know a commit for a class two years down the road means squat. He isn't exactly killing it in 2015 and there is no "cloud." You don't keep a coach for a class two years down the road. Unfortunately, it will happen. Don't forget the PSU scandal Golden pulled, Randy never tried a stunt like that.

Good thing no one mentioned anything about that.

In the context of the discussion. Porsters are making the comparison to a firing situation that occurred with the past coach, who so happens to be Randy, with the current coach. In THAT context, bring up other possibly reasons why past coach was fired does mean something. Those other reasons are what makes this situation a little different than what happened to Randy.

Plus he is setting us up to be elite in 2015 and beyond....he's not going anywhere

Shalala was fuming after Golden's bid to get the Penn St job, which not surprisingly, he lost. He has to win this year.
 
Randy was my most hated corch of all time. But if AG ***** the bed this year, why should he receive any more leniency than Randy did? B/c he's a good speaker? B/c he used the world "rejuvinated" in his one word team description. No coach in their 4th year as coach should lose to an unranked Louisville team who hasn't even been in a major conference yet. Period. End of story. And if he does, he's not the right guy and deserves to be on the hot seat.

I think you will find the Golden worshippers are the ones being sensitive. I call it like i see it. I support the coach until i see evidence he is in over his head. Not sure about Golden but his loyalty to No D is a no no
