Brock Berlin as our QB...

Berlin in the shotgun was great QB . Coker fucted his first season by forcing him under center. His senior year he slang that ***** for the most part. He was the best QB along with Morris we have had since Dorsey.

on top of that, im sick of hearing.......................................... if that, if so, if my aunt had balls, she would be my uncle. where there is smoke, there is fire. last time we were important was in 2001. since that, we have produced squat. thats it.

Miami Hurricanes should have never been in these positions. all the talent in the world and no one too guide the ship. what a joke.

im a winner. it breaks me in two to see a program like this to self destruct. we are in 2019 and back to nothing. Why always invite the ones that want to bring you down. dont give them any fuel. dont give them the opportunities to do so. last time we won the championship is what, 18 yrs.

Two things.
1. If Berlin was transferring here in 2019, some ****** CIS member would say it's because he's scared of Rex Grossman.

2. Never put Berlin and Rosier in the same sentence. Brock Berlin not only got drafted, he played a few years in the NFL. Even started a few games. Rosier will never ever ever even sniff an invite to an XFL camp. Let alone play in the NFL.

Now for what actually happened....
  • He did transfer because he couldn't beat out Rex Grossman
  • He wasn't drafted
  • He started 1 NFL game and played in 1 other. His career NFL stats - 159 yds passing, 1 INT
In his 7 Career games vs. FSU/UF/VT:

  • He threw for 180 yds or less in 5 of 7
  • He threw 5 TD's, 12 INT's, and lost 5 fumbles
  • That's 5 TD's and 17 Turnovers in our rivalry games
He was Rosier AF

You didn't have to watch it, here's some highlights from ESPN's game recap of our 10-6 loss to Tennessee:

Nov 10, 2003

  • Brock Berlin slowly walked through the Orange Bowl with his girlfriend on one side, his parents on the other and two security guards close by.
  • He needed consolation -- and maybe some protection.
  • Berlin threw two interceptions and fumbled once as No. 18 Tennessee stunned sixth-ranked Miami 10-6 Saturday, knocking the Hurricanes out of the national championship picture for the first time in four years and ending the nation's longest home-winning streak at 26 games.
  • Tennessee won with just 170 yards of offense, 81 passing and 89 rushing.
  • The Hurricanes (7-2) failed to score a touchdown at home for the first time since 1984.
  • It also was the first time since a 47-0 drubbing at Florida State in 1997 that Miami failed to scored a touchdown in any game.
  • Berlin's second interception cost Miami a chance at winning the game.
  • Miami has scored just one touchdown in two games.
  • Most of the problems have stemmed from Berlin, who threw two interceptions against Virginia Tech last week.
  • "The interceptions are unacceptable," said Miami coach Larry Coker, who benched Berlin against the Hokies and said he will re-evaluate the quarterback situation this week. (Berlin was benched the next game)
Thanks for reminding me, I just threw up......disgusting that we wasted a NC defense

I blame Coker as much as Berlin for not realizing his strengths and adjusting O to fit him...IE shotgun no huddle

Cool story. Feel free to add rosie's NFL stats later on.

is frank Costa still available.****, give me Kenny Kelly. One that got screwed was : SCOTT CONVINGTON. so underrated.

Berlin had a good senior season. He also led an unbelievable comeback against UiF. We should have left him the shotgun where he was comfortable and would've likely had better results earlier on.

Looking back, I'm not sure it's as easy as, "Put Brock in the shotgun and Miami wins a title."

That offense was based on I-Form, power running, play-action, using the TE in the passing game, etc. It would have been hard to scrap that entirely and do something completely different mid-season. It was magic for the final 20 minutes of the game vs. the Crocs, but defenses would have adjusted.

I do think he should have been in the shotgun the majority of the game vs. Tennessee, though. It couldn't have been any worse and probably would've at least resulted in one TD, which is all that was needed.

When he was good, he was on fire. But when he was bad, he was abysmal.

I don't know that he had the size and arm strength to really be what some on here are claiming he could have been.
