Bring back the turnover chain, Mario

Gotta admit, the thought has crossed my mind a few times. But then I think about the slip and slide, and the buffoonery, and the dancing while the stands were filled with gut-shot fans enduring another beat down by another mediocre team. Yeah, fun as it was at times, those things belong buried with the style-over-substance mentality of another painful era of Hurricane fandom. Let them stay buried.

But, yeah, let’s bring back the rings—#6, that is.

Bring back bounties for hard hits and interceptions. There has to be some way to tie it into NIL and make it legal. Maybe a company that makes sleep supplements can tie NIL to putting fools to sleep.

It was a lot of fun, for the players fans and the media.
It was by far the greatest turnover prop ever, gave the U another singular identity along with the U on the helmets.
Can’t think of any reason not to do it.
No. Was cool at first, but became a pathetic prop when the team failed to produce on the field. More than that, other teams came up with their own props, which made the turnover chain just another silly stunt among many in college football. Win on the field, show that swag, brag Miami culture, scoff at opponents by running up scores, put players into the NFL...that will do more to brag about UM than a piece of jewelry.

Rough crowd here!No fun crowd.
After turnover everyone in the stadium or watching on TV would focus on the coach placing chain on the player and the entire stadium would celebrate. All the players enjoyed it tremendously, it was a lot of fun.Recruits loved it.ESPN would invariably show it in highlights .

Of course none of you guys enjoyed it at all.

I'm not saying it needs to be brought back, but you know for sure some of them loved it back then. Let's be honest, mostly everyone did and the posts in the past suggest as much. Those Dymelife and knockoff t-shirts were a big thing. Same people rocking them and fake chains were likely those who wore the Fear the tie shirts.

All things have a place and time. I'd have no problem with it being brought back for the occasional big game or just out of the blue whenever. I'm also fine with having it left in storage and don't really care either way.

Those TD rings though, just no.

Lets bring back having more points on the score board at the end of the game (Florida for example) than the other teams has. Do that every game and see what happens!!

To me, that chain represents the ultimate down time for the program. The very best thing Mario did on day one was say no more chain. ITS A ME THING, NOT WE !

Na! If we ever make to a championship game, maybe have it make an appearance on a stage like that, but it’s so much work to be done.

Hey, guys, I've got an idea. Three years into an absolutely grueling process of revolutionizing the program's culture to make it a bullet-proof, winning one, strong enough to undo two decades of mediocrity, let's just throw it all away and go back to where we were. Waddya think?

I liked the chain but the touchdown rings were the most disgraceful **** ever.

Most fans dont want the chain back because they attach it to manny and that era but alot of the top programs have those “gimmick” things so im not against it but if mario doesn’t want it then cool
