So you have two sides battling. The Big 10 and the SEC are on one side and Cody Campbell is on the other side. The current bill before Congress is favorable to Campbell’s side, because it greases the wheels for the bundling of media rights. The Big 10 and the SEC don’t want that because they make more money negotiating media rights on their own. Teams like Texas Tech want the bundle and argue that other less popular leagues (like the NBA) make more than college football because they sell media rights in a bundle.

We aren’t in the Big 10 or the SEC. I don’t want Miami to be left behind while they are taking in tens of millions more in media revenue per year. So I side with Cody Campbell.

The bill doesn’t address the root cause, player employment, until that is addressed nothing else matters

There are a lot of things that come to my mind with this ruling, first with Miami. The Pell Grant deal in the 90's, the boat rides, rented washing machines to players. Reggie Bush and that whole deal at USC. I'm not too bright and maybe I am just a bitter middle-aged man but it seems those things I mentioned are legal compared to Sorsby shelling out bread betting against his team. If I am an idiot, tell me so I can get better. But if I am right.............
 
If nothing will be done about how sports is in bed with the gambling industry (sponsorships and accepting ad money from the gambling sites) I don't want to hear anything about Sorsby. Give him some grace and help for a possible gambling addiction and move on. I don't think Sorsby should have to be suspended for 2 games. But, when the NCAA and opposing coaches try to act like they are honorable people who made millions and in the case of the NCAA has made billions off of so-called "amateur student athletes" I don't want to hear no complaining now.
 
If the college sports will do business with the TV networks who accept ad money from the gambling websites they can't complain when players are gambling. These conferences and the NCAA could ask that the TV networks not air commercials from gambling websites during their broadcasts. But, they won't because they are 304s for money.

They are allowed to gamble within certain parameters…Sorsby’s issue is that he bet on his own team. Also, he checked into rehab after he was “caught” and was wiring money to other to place bets for him, an indication he knew he was wrong it did it anyway

I realize that. My opinion hasn't changed.
