2026 Breck Kolojay 4* OL from IMG (via Littleton, CO)

Does he want to play with Cantwell or does he want to play with Pepe?

season 2 fergie GIF by The Four
Ultimately I believe it will come down to what coaches he wants to play for imo. I believe that’s why he isn’t currently in any hurry?!

now hes my fav interior ol this class but no way hes a huge miss lol. We have 3 interior ol committed already.

We probably bring in at min one transfer portal lineman this year. He is a cherry on top recruit who id love for it to be us.
He’s a huge miss dude

We’ve invested a ton of time into his recruitment that’s what I’m saying. Or maybe you don’t know how hard OSU was recruiting him head to head with us?

Saying “lol” doesn’t change it

If someone you think is the best interior prospect that we’ve recruited like **** isn’t a miss then wtf is

Big miss from the time invested, don’t know how big of a miss from a true impact standpoint. Is he expected to be tiers above someone like Buchanan from last year? Or Ervin? Genuine question, I haven’t watched him, but I know Buchanan had similar talk around how much they valued him last year.

I’m just a simple man and not a gold medalist in mental gymnastics

To me a highly ranked/coveted kid we’ve recruited hard for a long time at a position we specialize with, that we’ve aggressively pursued in NIL is a ****** miss

If we wanna participation trophy it then I’m out but this feels like cope

We don't need to pay up for another OL. This guy is a nice to have not a must have.

Safety, DT and RB is all that is missing from this being a great class. Easier said than done. But we have loads of time.
Along with QB, WR, DE, LB. But I digress.

I’m with you, pouring resources into a recruitment and not landing the kid is a loss. Of all the positions, interior o-line is just the last one I’m getting ****ed off about with this staff and the way they’ve recruited the line.

If it’s USC on Friday I don’t think there’s any reason to expect it to stick regardless.

I think this is nuance that a lot of people here can't or won't grasp, for some reason.

Yes, he's a huge miss, because you poured a lot of time and effort into him, and he didn't come here (again, assuming he doesn't, who the **** knows?). So yeah, you have your entire staff putting hours and hours of labor into recruiting the kid, untold dollars, and you don't get him. That is literally the definition of a miss. A kid who you recruit on the periphery, rarely visit, maybe get in for a UV, that's it....not really much of a miss. You didn't allocate much to him. This kid, far different story. You swung out of your shoes, and you came up with air, and the bat went into the ******* crowd and impaled a dude selling Cracker Jacks. WHIFFFFFF.

HOWEVER, it needs to be looked at in the context of the football team as well. Yes, he's a very good looking prospect (paws) and we're likely better if he signs here, so we need and want him. BUT we have a very good OL class without him, so the true need isn't quite as massive as it is for other positions.

As usual, not always completely black and white. He's a whiff if he goes to USC, and a big one at that, but it's one that can likely be mitigated somewhat easily and doesn't impact the bottom line (aka wins and losses) as much as someone like, say, every Safety we've recruited is.
