“We aLrEaDy have 6 OL tHiS wOUlD have bEeN just a lUxURy anYwAY! We dIdnT rEAlLy nEeD hIm!”

Just getting it out of the way for several of you.
Even with 6 OL, most being very good prospects, this kid might be the most day 1 ready of all if we were to land him so would definitely be an L. But SC been spending like crazy this cycle so we can't be shocked if they far exceeded any other offers.

Homie is better than all our commits except Cantwell and maybe Irvin
Facts. Numbers wise, yeah a 7th offensive lineman is a luxury but he’s the goods and better than 4 or 5 of the dudes we got committed. We will see.

They must be breaking him off something ridiculous, good for them.
The weird thing about them going all in with NIL right now is it seems like something they should have done last yr instead of this year. And at the very least they should have been more balanced and instead put more money into this portal period.
Like sure ideally if you only committed to this type of spending for hs guys after 2-3 seasons of it you're gonna be stacked. But given this is yr4 for Riley, there seems to be a whole helluva lot of pressure on producing asap. Which HS recruits in 26 just aren't finna provide given they wont be on campus. And next yr they aren't likely to be all productive asap. So you shouldnt expect all that much until 2027 from this class. But how does that help Lincoln keep his job.... I mean if he's got the type of job security that Mario has, sure I see this working out well in the long-run, as long as they get QB right and he has the right DC in place. But seems risky given they've progressively won less games every season 11-8-7. I think they need 9 wins real bad....

But hey hopefully they fail and their NIL collapses and it becomes a free for all for their commits. I hope we are on all there guys for the long haul like we were Lowe.

Was having this exact conversation with my group yesterday.

Carson Beck stays healthy and I think we are in for a special season. Things have been eerily quiet from campus and we aren’t hearing any uh ohs from the insiders. That tells me we are about to see something special.
I hope you’re right. My interpretation of things is more like fingers crossed that things break the right way.

Last time this year, all we heard was Cam was amazing, true leader, alpha, etc. And that’s exactly how it played out.

This year, we have a big-time quarterback with a proven history… but he’s coming off injury and missed spring, yet we’re hoping he has chemistry with new, young, and inexperienced (albeit talented) weapons. Oh, and immediately because we have some big ones coming up fast.

The quiet feels like we’re holding our breath and praying for the better end of what feels like a wide range of potential outcomes. All this as we approach a very important season in Mario’s era, clearly critical in terms of the program’s trajectory.

The whole thing feels a little fragile, like we’re walking on thin ice carrying a big *** Oline and some real potential behind it. But I think most can see the promised land up ahead.

We better figure out a way to get there, cause it’s cold as **** under the ice.

Koljay is going to turn down Mario and Mirabal for little extra cash to play for a young OL coach?
He would be playing right next to Pepe wthe tackle who he has played next to the last 2+ yers if he commits there.

He is from Colorado closer to his fam. I think even if the money equal we would have to recruit him extra hard or go above their nil efforts to make him commit.

Hes my #1 interior ol so it would be a miss for me...Kid is gonna play early wherever he goes.

Pepe is his best friend

Splitting UF/ND and probably losing 1 ACC game is a solid outcome to me. Every year there is a better than expected team in the conference. Thankfully no GT or Clemson on schedule. Louisville & SMU should be challenging, good chance a loss could come there or one of our last 2 games in the cold as Pitt or Va Tech in late November tends to get whacky.
We are not losing to UF and ND. One thing about Mario is that he rarely disappoints in headline games. It is those give me games that tend to trip him. He too needs the consistency that he preaches to his players. Remain focused in all games with same intensity
