Hard to believe but we are actually pretty deep in most positions with the 50ish kids Golden brought in in 2011 and 2012. We actually have "bodies", though "talent" is definitely something that is either lacking or is unproven in many units.
If Golden's youngsters actually show promise this year, we really dont need a huge class for 2013. For example, we could easily make do with just 1 TE instead of the 2 that everyone is clamoring for, or 1 DE (we've got a ton of kids here), or 1 LB (we've got a ton of kids here), or even 1 DT (we've got a ton of kids here).
A 15 man class would look like this:
1 QB
1 RB ( i would prefer 2)
1 TE
2 WR (only 1 new kid the other is AJL)
3 OL (this is our real need)
1 DT
1 DE
1 LB
3 DB
1 K/P
The main problem with a small class is that it could leave out a TON of talented kids that might want to be Canes.
