Miami, FL. - The Best in the Nation has made a massive decision.

Earlier this afternoon, 24/7 Sports announced that Christopher Columbus High’s two way star A’mir “A1” Sears will be RE CLASSIFYING from the C/O 2028 to 2027.



Sears, a 6 foot 1 dual threat phenomenon is rated as the #1 recruit in the country by 24/7. Holding 47 Division I Offers, Sears is one of the most sought after recruits in the country, with the Miami Hurricanes hot on the trail.

Last season with West Broward, A’mir recorded 42 catches for 942 yards and 11 touchdowns offensively, alongside 61 tackles, 11 pass breakups, 3 interceptions and a sack on defense.



Sears’ dual threat versatility helped spark the Bobcats into an unlikely Cinderella run, as West Broward would go 12-3 including a trip to the FHSAA Class 6A State Final, where they’d unfortunately fall 31-0 to the back-to-back-champs West Boca Bulls. Before the loss in the State title game, West Broward would win 12 straight with their only regular season losses coming in September.



Confirmed by 24/7’s Tom Loy, A’mir will be announcing his commitment this Friday, July 31 at 5:00 PM EST. Sears’ commitment will be broadcasted via 24/7 Sports and CBS.

Front runners in A’mir Sears’ recruitment include Miami, Texas A&M, LSU, Florida and Syracuse.

Miami currently sits with the #4 recruiting class in the country, per 24/7, and Sears can pair nicely with other hometown stars including 5-Star WR Nick Lennear and 4-Star S Jaylyn Jones.

Bruh....as recently as 2019, this is a FULL DB class we signed:

Christian Williams
Te'Cory Couch

That was the whole class. Corner, nickel, safety, we signed three (3) kids.

A 5'10 kid we moved to linebacker, a kid who played sparingly for 1 year and wound up at a G6 school, and Te'Cory Couch was decent, but undrafted and has bounced around some camps but never been on an active roster in the NFL.

That was an ENTIRE DB CLASS.

2020 may have been even worse.

We signed Tae Williams (DNP -- Murder), Marcus Clarke (what?), Isaiah Dunson (who?), Jalen Harrell (when?), Brian Balom (why?), Keshawn Washington (how?).

It's almost impossible to sign 6 kids and not a single one ever made a meaningful play for you. Maybe I'm missing something. I know Tae had one pick, I think it was against a **** team in a blowout, other than that, did any of those 6 kids literally make a single play in a meaningful game? One play?

Forgot about Christian Williams lol, remember thinking we stole a good player outta Bama but should have known better.

 

It comes with the territory, programs arent just going to give up on a top 10 composite player because one school is favored. Mario sure as **** would not. He fought til the end for Folorunsho even though there was less than a .1% shot.

Yep. And lets be honest..being a King in Miami just aint the same as being a King in Ann Arbor or Baton Rouge...or........Columbus! Malachi Toney is showing that as proof...Lol. Especially when we are winning which we are and will continue to do.
