Brashard didn’t travel with team (Commits to SMU)

He hasn’t been practicing so of course he’s not playing . I’ve hinted at this a couple times in my thread. If he hits the portal watch Ole Miss or UL. No decision last I heard .
Unless he is injured, very sick or has a family issue that he cleared with the staff he should not have a choice on the portal if he skips practice and the bowl game. Mario should tell him thanks for his effort the last few years and clear his locker out. He doesn't get to come back after "taking time to make a decision and waiting to see how the QB situation clears up". I don't care who it is on the team, you let that slide and you lose control and ruin culture which Mario has fixed a lot in this last season.
It's too bad cause he does have talent, but if we are recruiting at a high level (which we are now), he can be replaced. Guys could maybe enter portal after the bowl game and not like their options and get to return, but not after skipping a game even if the bowls are stupid now.

Could say that about the majority of the 23 class and about every college football player at some point.

Smith was at best our fourth receiver. Has zero wiggle, is a sloppy route runner, and gets dumb penalties. There’s a reason he wasn’t getting much burn

He’s very replaceable
He was underutilized like our TE's because we chose to call safer plays and max protect a QB who wasn't getting the job done.

Still waiting for William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor and Millard Fillmore to weigh in here, those are some big Whigs.
Doesn't John Tyler still have a living grandson or something?

EDIT: he sure does. Harrison Ruffin Tyler (95 years old). His grandfather (John Tyler) was born in 1790.

John Tyler's son Lyon was born when he was 63 and then Lyon's son Harrison was born when he was 75.

I love ya’ll, but man some of ya’ll be trim when a player is remotely thought of either

A) Decommitting
B) Portal

Awful takes on B Smith here. He’s our most dangerous gadget player & by far our best returner we’ve had since, I can’t even comprehend.

Are u forgetting bro bailed us out in a tough spot against Clemson? Both he & Young saved us that game.

Are u forgetting the damage he did against UNC, which is why he started getting more burn in the first place?

Are u forgetting B Smith, after TAMU was trying to swing momentum, housed one to swing the momentum back to our favor against TAMU?

The fact is, bro was very underutilized here. It may be best for him to move on to get an opportunity for true PT. I swear I don’t want him going to UL; let him go to Ole Miss if he leaves.

I think he was underutilized because he’s a one trick pony who can only run tunnel / bubbles and 9 routes. From my experience playing and coaching football…I think Mario and Dawson didn’t trust him out there…I would bet he didn’t know the playbook or how to read coverages. There is almost always a reason guys don’t get burn and it’s usually because they don’t know what they’re doing every play.

He will transfer somewhere else and probably house a kick off or punt, take a bubble to the house and have an explosive go route for a touchdown…but what we saw this year is probably his ceiling production wise…just my opinion. Kiffin might elevate it

I’d rather keep him and get him more involved. Can never have enough play makers.

Not saying he isn’t replaceable but he can take it to the house. Let’s see who ends up getting his snaps and what they do with it next year.

Supposedly he's missed practices and meetings being mad and feeling unappreciated but that's not the way to go about it
He has a spot here but you can't do this to your team NOW and coaches and expect things to smooth over. I like him as a player but he's definitely replaceable long term...yes he wasn't always used correctly but that's not a reason to be a distraction before the bowl game

Just imagine what the Tyler boys could’ve accomplished if Viagra was around back then

Miami doesn’t win the Clemson orA&M games without Smith. His plays basically swung those games in my opinion. You never want to see guys who can take it to the house any time they touch the ball leave your team.

He is a manny recruit and also had costly penalties in games so I can see why both parties might decide to move on. He also probably wants more snaps. Ole Miss and Louisville have better offensive head coaches who will probably utilize him to the best of his abilities. Good luck if he leaves but the Canes are moving up and on either way .

This train ain’t slowing down for. Anyoneif you're saying the plays he actually made than yes. But at the end of the day he's a horrible blocker with questionable effort UNLESS he has the ball in his hands. When you also factor in his snaps limit Ray Ray and robbies snaps who both have more potential then him and could provide at minimum the same results then I'm okay with him clearing it IF HE DOES.

I agree that he was underutilized and with your take on the probable reason for it. Football coaches are usually conservative, and Mario fits in that mold.

Smith might be a one trick pony, but he is a dynamic playmaker. Some coach will find a way to work that trick into his gameplan on a consistent basis and get the most out of Smith.
