Brandon Powell now moved up to a 4 star and in the rival 250

Slow down, Golden has a knack for taking on projects, that still haven't amounted to much on this team. Granted the talent he's brought in has gotten progressively better.

I honestly believe this recruiting class has more to do with James Coley, Brennan Carroll, Larry Scott and Hurlie Brown collaborating on the evaluations.

Brennan was a beast at Southern Cal, James Coley did serious work for Florida State, Larry Scott recruited gems out of South Florida for USF and Hurlie Brown was waiting for his chance to share his passion for this university. Al Golden is a great closer and has given those guys the vision of what he wants here at Miami but I think those 4 guys have really taken to their jobs with unspeakable energy and enthusiasm.

Plus, having the black cloud of the NCAA partly going away is helpful. As Golden said, once this NCAA crap is over, it's skirts for the competition!

Love the pickup even more after Dillard is off the team, he isn't a big back but he will be needed. Smart like this kid is, he should be able to learn both the RB & slot in no time, being that he is a EE.

I'm with you, I would like to see the other coaches get a little more credit for commits. Golden is the closer but it seems like he is a coach that let his staff do their own job by delegation, which is what a good leader/ manager should do. Golden has the master plan & he is leading some all-star recruiters.

Head coach gets the credit and the blame for recruiting. That's how it goes. It's his ship, and he guides it and has final say on ALL recruits.

I can't believe we have to have this conversation...

1. Al hires his team and dictates the PLAN to his coordinators and position coaches.

2. The coordinators and position coaches fight the daily battles using that plan (the text messages, the follow up with recruits etc.).

3. No matter what happens, success or failure, Al is in charge of all of it. He gets the blame, he gets the credit. When he hires Coach X and Coach X lands Player Y. Al gets credit.

Al ==> Coach X ==> Player Y

The CEO gets the blame or the credit.

Why does "credit" matter? The other coaches get a salary that compensates them for the "credit." Also we have no clue what goes on behind the scenes and we will never be privy to that information. This basically sums up how it works (RIP Mr. Barksdale):

"Now you think Ronald McDonald gonna go down to the basement and say, "Hey Mr. Nugget - you the bomb. We sellin' chicken faster than you can tear the bone out. So I'm gonna write my clowney *** name on this fat-*** check for you." ****. Man, the ***** who invented them things? Still working in the basement for regular wage, thinking of some **** to make the fries taste better or some **** like that. Believe."

Brandon Powell playing CB, just layed a hit on a Southridge WR so hard the WR lost his helmet and mouth piece
