Yay!! I didn't like Powell two days ago. Now, I think he's a great player.
And I feel so much better about our 2014 class now. What a relief!

But Golden is still not reeling in the high star kids and is not recruiting South Florida talent
Slow down, Golden has a knack for taking on projects, that still haven't amounted to much on this team.
I honestly believe this recruiting class has more to do with James Coley, Brennan Carroll, Larry Scott and Hurlie Brown collaborating on the evaluations.
Brennan was a beast at Southern Cal, James Coley did serious work for Florida State, Larry Scott recruited gems out of South Florida for USF and Hurlie Brown was waiting for his chance to share his passion for this university. Al Golden is a great closer and has given those guys the vision of what he wants here at Miami but I think those 4 guys have really taken to their jobs with unspeakable energy and enthusiasm.
Plus, having the black cloud of the NCAA partly going away is helpful. As Golden said, once this NCAA crap is over, it's skirts for the competition!

I'm with you, I would like to see the other coaches get a little more credit for commits. Golden is the closer but it seems like he is a coach that let his staff do their own job by delegation, which is what a good leader/ manager should do. Golden has the master plan & he is leading some all-star recruiters.
