Brad Kayaa

I put zero blame on the kid...he was thrown into a world of ****.

I'm not sure there's a QB in America that could have led us to victory with that offensive gameplan today. If you're going to play a freshman and call plays like he's a freshman, why start him?

Coley is an abomination. I know Onfrio is also an abomination of similar proportions...but I've been saying it since last year that Coley was stealing money. He's Pat Nix with recruiting skills. No business calling plays at a big time program.

I remember us saying the same thing when Patrick Nix coached us out of a chance to beat UiF. This was worse. Kaaya showed he is capable of going through his progressions and spreading the field. He threw a pick? Big ******* deal. He showed more than Marve ever did. That's your ******* guy Coley. So ******* useful that receiving core was

There was a moment tonight where I came close to breaking my TV.

2nd and long in their red zone shortly after the change in possession off the turnover we forced....UL proceeds to load NINE men in the box due to the fact we went double tight end with a tight lineup from the wideout on the open side of the field. Kaaya barks out false signals for a few seconds and then does the "check with me" thing with Coley.

So Coley, after seeing all this, sends in his check which ends up being a check to run the ball INTO that aforementioned NINE man front.

Yeah...I lost my ****. That was incompetence illustrated in it's purest form.

Admittedly most times when I watch us, I get lost in the emotion. I am pacing around the room and punching things. I don't notice things like that until I rewatch.

However, constantly, ******* constantly I see things where I just go "what the **** are we about to do?" If me, half drunk, barely any knowledge above bashing my helmet against low level college players noticed, well then what the **** does Bobby Petrino notice? Why don't WE notice? We haven't WE noticed for 10 ******* YEARS?

That sequence made me crazy.

I mean, how....just like how....how does that happen? It goes beyond incompetence, it's mind boogling stupidity.

Disgusting.

Awful gameplan
Awful play calling
No identity
Terrible OLine play

The coaches make everything difficult on our players. Coaches are supposed to put players in positions to succeed, neither our OC or DC are good at it.

End of story. End of ******* story.

I have to tell you I get jealous watching some other teams play. Coaches the create mismatches for their best players is just something we haven't seen here in forever.

I mean the 1 time we get Duke in space, we gain 35 yards (granted it was called back). Instead we are trotting out 2 TEs w/ a walk on FB and having Duke try to run when Ville has 10 in the box. Genius!

Kayaa is going to be good, but I don't know how under this OC and HC. Looks like the same isht in the Russell Athletic Bowl. Guess it wasn't Morris at all.

Our coaches and OL let Brad down tonight. That poor ****** kid. Cant expect him to set the world on fire in a hostile environment just 3 to 4 months out of high school when you have no time to throw the **** football, are getting hit on what seemed like every play especially on the first drive and are being handcuffed play calling wise. U just cant.

I mean a logical move when a team is stacking the box would be to spread them out. If they continue to stack the box then you have 1 on 1 match ups with our WRs. Not us, we line up and create more congestion.

In this day and age in football, a team like Miami should rarely have less then 3 WRs on the field at all times. And I'm actually pretty surprised with Coley bc I thought he had a spread background

Yup, and we run right into it. We have an excellent RB who is perfect for the screen game, and never use him. We didn't speed up the pace to let Kaaya get into a rhythm. We did nothing to help that kid, and it's just not fair to him and to the other players on the team.

OL sucked, Play calling sucked, Kaaya looked average at best. Looked a lot like Morris with a much weaker arm. But I don't put the loss on him. Kid wasn't ready, staff made us believe he was. He's not a freshman, blah, blah, blah. Kid should be redshirting. That is on the staff for not having a reliable QB in year 4.

I feel bad for the kid. He should have been afforded the luxury of a redshirt year.

Incompetent staff is the problem. 4 years in and your best option is a true frosh at the most important position on the team?

You have failed as a staff.

I don't blame Kaaya. A large part of the blame must fall on Kevin Olsen. He's done very little other than underperform or get himself in trouble and suspended. There's no way Kaaya should have been starting. When Williams went down, Olsen should have been ready and he should have been a more than capable backup to Williams, or maybe the established starter. When you make your offense plain vanilla to keep it simple for a guy that's three months out of HS, you know we're headed for problems against a good team. As far as Heaps, he's apparently as bad as advertised. For him--a former no. 1 recruit and fifth year senior--to get beaten out by a kid fresh out of HS says an awful lot. You knew they were going to crowd the line of scrimmage and play head games with a first year QB. It was the same thing Jerry Sandusky did to Vinny in the '87 Fiesta Bowl. Just confuse the kid, not let him know what was coming, throw new defenses and blitzes at him.

I could have written this script. I never thought they'd start a true freshman. Heaps must be terrible and maybe Olsen should ship out if he can't clean up his act real fast.

Kaaya's stats for the night: 17/29 (58% completion ratio), 174 yards (LOL), 1 TD, 2 INT..... QB Rating of 15.6 (LOL).

Get this kid the **** out of my face.

According to you that's worse than Kirby Freeman going 1-17 for 84 yards, 1 TD, and 3 INT. Get the **** out of my face.

Terrible coaching, but he showed NOTHING other than he is cool with losing, is slower than molasses, and has the weakest arm in history.

The UM greats looked good, win or lose, in their first game. Kaaya looked like KW in that Free Shoes Labor Day debacle in 2004, where he was just awful, and never got any better. Remember? "We lost the game, but found a QB"? Well, tonight, we lost the game, and know we have NO QB.

Great, so we have the next Kirby Freeman.

You jokers are blaming this all on Coley's playcalling.... well if Coley is such an idiot when it comes to calling plays, what makes you think he's some genius when it comes to evaluating high school quarterbacks?

I say you either have it or you don't, and Kaaya looked terrible tonight, no spin.

Actually I said we would miss Seantrel Henderson more than Hurns.... you *****ed and cried about it so much that you still bring it up.... guess I was right in the end.

Would have been nice to have a second tackle out there tonight.

Actually, you said that Allen Hurns was a "participation trophy" player because he didn't get drafted. You claimed that "money talks." You weren't right in the end, **** breath. Hurns is on an NFL team, and we miss great possession receivers like him dearly.

Oh, by the way, why don't you post the stats from Bernie Kosar's first start?
