Ok but he still lost....he threw a pick in the endzone and if Miami scored a td that drive the game is basically over. FSU was done at that moment till the pick.
Well if and buts are candy and nuts..maybe after a TD instead of a pick that FSU team finds a since of urgency and storms down for a score themselves. Who knows..u can play the what if game for every thing..but this what I do know..Dorsey and kaaya switch opportunities at the U, kaaya probably wins two titles..Dorsey wins none.

Ok but he won 23 games in 3 years. That’s not very good.
Your ignorance towards football being the ultimate team sport in this convo is baffling..you think if Tom Brady was drafted by the browns he wins rings? No. Kaaya was unfortunate to play at The U during the dark ages. But doesn’t take away from how good he was while here. He was a good QB who played on a team that fielded historically bad D’s and two coaches who the whole base wanted canned..

brock berlin
Brock Berlin had moments and ONE Good SR season..with national title talent around him both years..didn’t win the coastal his last year, let alone a tilte..don’t get it twisted..Brad did not have such talent put around on both sides of the ball..here’s some names Berlin played with

You guys need to go back and watch some of the games Dorsey actually played. He was a great person, teammate, and leader--all of which matter at QB--but was an awful passer. If he's not throwing to all-time greats, behind an all-time great LT, with all-time greats at RB, he would have been worse than Rosier because he rattled easily and could not move. Dorsey threw wounded ducks that were often off target where the receivers adjusted and made great plays, which made him look great when he was not. He had an under 60% career completion percentage for Pete's sake, throwing to shockey, winslow, Andre, Santana, Roscoe, Reggie, Portis, Najeh, and more!
It’s ridiculous our fans don’t understand this..Dorsey was a great winner..he was the Eli Manning or Trent dilfer of College QBS..but u can’t take the winning away from..but HTFN he was not a better individual player than brad

The most FSU scored in those games was 30, cant blame the Dorito D there..not like we were bereft of talent on O

Kaaya in his final season had Coley, Richards, Berrios, Njoku, Herndon and Walton/Edwards at RB and still had a 4 game losing streak. His feet were his problem and 100% the reason he's not in the league. All good QB's have good feet.
utterly ridiculous. What matters is what he did. He threw for lots of yards, lots of TDs and relatively few INTs. He also played with some of our worst defenses in decades. He did his part.

I was watching the '01 Sugar Bowl before the UF game and Dorsey was HORRIBLE. If we had halfway decent QB play, the game would've never been close. Same with the BC game in '01. Here is why Dorsey was a legend:

In '02, after McKinnie left and he still had Mcgahee, Winslow, Romberg, and AJ, Dorsey was awful at times like against Pitt at home.

Exactly. Being a Buc's fan, it's pretty analogous to all of the QBs that were average to bad with the Bucs as far as records and accomplishments, but then went elsewhere and won Super Bowls and became Hall of Famers. Doug Williams, Steve Young, even Steve DeBerg had his moments after he left. Same QB, very different records because of who was around him.

Yes you can..because it’s at what point in the game the scores came and HOW. Y’all can’t have it both ways..you can’t say Dno was the worst d coordinator in school history..Golden one of the worse HC..richts 1993 offense..but then blame the QB for not over coming that
