Dantonio getting fired would have to happen first.

Are people gulping speedballs?

Get back to me when Dantonio is no longer the coach.
Exactly people need to stop being drama queens. If/when Michigan state comes open they probably would target him . Even if we chose fedora or applewhite they would have been here for 1 year right?

They want to hire him as an HC next year? How the heck is that comparable to what we did to Temple?
I dotn see dantonio going anywhere. the michigan state boosters need to realize who they are. they are a 2nd tier program in own state. Michigan when they have a real coach will always win Michigan. 8-5 9-4 is probably the ceiling for any coach there with Michigan having a legit coach dantonio has been as good as any coach even saban there firing him would be dumb he would have a job somethwere else withing in a week

Guess we should be on alert. Manny could be doing this again in a season if Enos is even slightly successful

Doesn’t matter.

Nobody, including Bama, can keep a coordinator that gets offered a decent HC position, unless the guy just doesn’t want to be a head coach, and especially if they are successful in their coordinator position.

You can’t hire scared. Get the best guy that you think fits your system or what you want to do, and then if he leaves down the line get somebody else.

You don’t hire based on how long you think somebody could potentially stay, you don’t get good hires that way. That’s just how it’s always worked everywhere.

Exactly, assistants like Brent venables or bud foster don’t come around very often where they stay somewhere for a long time despite possibly having head coaching opportunities elsewhere

Yawn. Talk to me when MSU is searching for a new HC. By the time Dantonio gets the axe, Manny would have been welllll ahead of the curve.

I'm sure he currently has, or will have a list of coaches who he would target if Enos (or anyone else for that matter) leaves. Great coaches do that. Let's hope Manny is a great coach.

Yeah, reading that tweet that sounds like whenever Dantonio steps down or is fired. Could be next year, could be five years.

So we get Hurts + solid QB coaching for a year then move on to a bigger and better Spread-focused OC? Sounds good to me.

I viewed it from the “dream job” perspective. That’s why I thought they were gonna try to Miami that situation.

Excellent answer.

Caveat: My coach at Yale once said: "Loyalty is important, but that doesn't mean you have to work for me, forever."

Manny needs to call Dorsey and see if he'd like to be an offensive QC this year just in case we need someone next year
