Blake James speaks

### UM athletic director Blake James said some people in the 8000-member Hurricane Club have told him they will not make the required annual donation (at least $50) to remain in the club because “they are upset where the football program is.”

But UM doesn’t know the precise fallout because the donation deadline isn't until late May.

Meanwhile, James gracefully is handling the fan backlash; he said one angry fan sent him the same email 54 consecutive times.

### James said he has met with Al Golden and his staff and Golden is “planning on changes to make things better, a variety of things.” James also said ticket prices aren’t expected to change.

Hope he is telling him to Fire donofrio and change the scheme...

He did (the fire D'no part) Al refused. There is a meeting at 5pm tonite, the players are expecting to be told that Williams and Carroll have been fired.

I got to wonder, if 6-7 gets you this much protection from the university, and the toxic situation it has produced, what will be considered failure next year?

At this point, I'm not sure it even matter what we fans do. The admin doesn't even want the program to be profitable.

Blake is better off keeping his powerless mouth shut. He insults the intelligence of DBC every time he speaks

I'm pretty confident that if Golden was charged with a Ponzi scheme on the university, he would be convicted. He should be sharing a jail cell with Shapiro.

If anything is going to get done, it will happen because we withhold our Hurricanes Club payments. Not because some worthless posers, on forums like this, claim to be the self appointed righteous angry fans. Or because some low level cricket journalist that thinks he knows something about football, expresses his fainting anger, just to gain readers. As always "money talks and bulls**t walks."

Only partially true. You miss the big $$ point. The $50 doesn't matter to them. But the constant negativity of the noise is expensive to them and potentially devastating. Do you think the ACC needs Miami any more? We were brought in to add football and baseball power to a basketball conference, instead we added girls sports. Sure TV ratings for Miami have been strong but that is slowing. All this "noise" is a negative to the stuffed shirts of the ACC. We have become a welfare case for the ACC and are not part of the inner core. All we need is one call from ACC hinting that something has to be done and BOT will cave. Any threat to the ACC cash cow will get immediate attention.

They can act like they don't hear our words on social media and message boards but they will when those checks are not being delivered in their accounts though. You know how money hungry this administration is.... Forget attacking them on social media, hit them in their pockets....

We have to do both! Unless they have a 6 digit check of yours you can stop payment on. All our money is still to little. We need the noise to threaten their comfort.

The only was this administration has a winning football program is if it accidentally hires a coach that's about winning. And if they do accidentally hire that coach, it's them against him. This school takes zero pride in its sports programs. It's so sad, but it's the truth. If we had an sec school mindset, we would never lose a game.
