What makes him a good hire in your question? Serious question. Doing a quick search on Bohn, he's been AD at 4 schools, some G5 and P5 (Colorado). As AD of Colorado, all 3 coaches he hired were eventually fired. He also hired Fickell at Cincinnati, which so far looks to be a solid hire. Funny thing is the only time USC ever had an AD w/o ties to the school, he also came from Cincinatti (kinda like us always going after Temple coaches lol). USC takes their non-revenue sports much more seriously so maybe that was a consideration.

Like I’ve said dude, I’m glad they did because oh boy did it backfire in there faces with the epic corching job Diaz did in losing to Gtech the worst team I’m the ACC. Oh wait I mean now the second worst team since we replaced them at number one. Lol and all they accomplished in that troll job was increasing support for the real banner and getting west end zone crew involved for even more banners. So it was honestly a blessing disguise. I hope who ever did it is at the Louisville game se he can watch the original banner fly around that stadium in all its glory! Oh and all the other banners flying! Lol
 
It just shows how ignorant and ineffective James is, because Diaz would have taken this job regardless of whether it was offered in 6 minutes, 6 days, or 6 weeks. You don't skip due diligence entirely for any coach, let alone a first time head coach. He should have learned his lesson from Mark Richt who was at least established.

To be honest with you. I did zero research when making that statement. I just looked at a school that’s been a solid G5 school for a while now. Fickell was a good hire but they are also in a state where Ohio state is the top Dog but they can still get good talent. Time will tell

No worries man...just was wondering if you knew something about him. I just did a quick search when I saw the post about them hiring an AD and read about 2 paragraphs only about the guy lol

This comment right here is all you need to know about the pure incompetence that is Blake James and why he and all his cronies in the athletic dept need to be the sole focus of every form of criticism us fans can throw there way! Unbelievable that this bum let a man that’s never played the game of football and never been a head coach before strong arm him into giving him the job on the spot! So basically, Blake/Diaz held a gun to the BOT's head saying it's now or never; and the gutless/incompetent BOT thought it was a great idea, no search necessary. Sure, the BOT is ultimately at fault, but it was Blake/Diaz that set it up. Can't fire the BOT, but Blake/Diaz need to go and the BOT can claim that they were misled, saving face.

I’m astounded by his incompetence and to not even have a search is negligent and borderline criminal. I went from ecstasy to agony in a few short hours when he hired Disazter. I remember being outraged on here and saying we need to do a Tennessee and stop this hire at all costs..

Exactly Klama, couldnt have said it better myself. And I would be willing to wager a big amount that the whole thing was concocted between Blake and manny right from the start! Those two were in cahoots, Nothing but buddies hiring eachother, ******* disgusting but definitely the UM way! This university and program is so infested with politics and nepotism and everything in between that they deserve every piece of negativity being thrown at them. I hope no one renews there tickets, buys merchandise or donates because I sure as **** know I won’t! And maybe then the spineless bot will do that right thing and clean house, till then get used to 5-7,6-6, 7-6 with an occasional 9-3 if we get lucky. Smh
