Blake Baker Interviewed With LSU

Let that mf go, dont need to work on sh*t.

Have to imagine finances is the thing delaying this. Kinda silly to take a 50k-200k and a demoted without some type of down-the-line incentive. A good 2-3 seasons at Miami was supposed to be Baker's ticket to being a HC. Now he's having to decide between a good salary, or a good salary and a couple steps back.

Money won’t be the issue for them but it could be for us.

So the reports weeks ago said Manny was encouraging Baker to find another job and here we are. If it saves us money then it will have been a great move. Won’t be hard to find an upgrade at LB coach.

I don't want to count the chickens before they hatch but if Baker ends up at LSU, Manny saved the school quite a bit by not firing him.

There are a lot of dummies on this site who have no critical thinking abilities and can't understand why Miami didn't choose to immediately flush 700k down the toilet by firing Baker as soon as the season ended. In a season where revenues are down 50%, 700k is a good chunk of money for Miami. It's the difference between having a coordinator worth 500k and coordinator worth 1.2 million. That's also a lot to hire a big team of analysts or go towards recruiting. If Eddy O takes Baker off Miami's hands, that would have been some shrewd fiscal management by Miami.

Alabama? No one in college football history has the turnover Saban deals with. Pretty sure Temple hired our DC to be a head coach too. The last Miami coordinator to get a HC position was Schiano in 2000. So I’m not sure what raiding you’re even talking about.
I'm talking about the raiding that used to happen to Howard, JJ and Dennis. I'm not worried about losing Banda to USU. Hence the LOL in my post.
