Nice half squat

Tell your boy to go bellow parallel and it'll be considered a real squat

Dude's on a reconstructed knee and you want him going past parallel? You do know that scar tissue in his knee LITERALLY prevents his knee joint from moving past where it did right?

No, no it doesn't. It's a torn acl that was more than likely completely replaced. To say you can't reach parallel or below parallel 2 years removed from an acl tear is asinine. Shear forces are greatest on the ACL at 30-50 degrees anyway so he's actually going to reduce the force on the acl by getting lower. There's a pretty badass picture of McGahee doing it for scouts before he was drafted if you'd like to take the time to find it

You have no idea what you're talking about other than what your read off bodybuilding.com. There is ZERO benefit to him for going past parallel, moreover, the scar tissue NEVER goes away, 2 years after, 10 years after, it literally NEVER goes away. You can loosen it over time, but at this point the scar tissue prevents his knee from moving past where it did. You ******* amateur Orthopedists crack me up.

I completely forgot about the knee... I was just laughing at this guy posting a video of someone barely doing a squat and hyping the **** out of it like its a big ******* deal

getting back to Lane, I wonder what would possibly lead him to cancel his FNL trip and all other summer trips? As it stands, Miami would've been his most recent visit me thinks.

You're right on this one LA. From someone who has tore his ACL 10+ years ago, I totally agree.

I have a degree, I'm certified through the NSCA, I'm a collegiate s&c coach and compete in powerlifting. BB.com? Child please. EMG studies have shown higher recruitment levels when squatting through a full range of motion. Studies have also shown greater strength gains when performing full squats as opposed to partial squats. As far as scar tissue, yes you're right but that would not keep him from having the mobility to perform a full squat. The ACL is about stability and nothing more. There are athletes without them performing at high levels. At this point he should have **** near full, pre-injury flexion and most certainly extension in that knee. It has nothing to do with being an ortho. This information is out there for anyone to read. We can disagree, it's not a big deal.

Unfortunately, I fear both his knees will be shot by the time Georgia is finished running him into the ground with their vaunted "3 yards and a cloud of dust" offense. We can all look forward to his Prancercise YouTube videos.

I'm going with uCrew02 on this one. LA got own'd. Many many an athlete have gone on to do full squats without restriction after a torn ACL. Stability is what it does. It does not severely inhibit the range of motion as you are imitating it does. That is wrong my man.

no benefit to going parallel or below vs guys who stop well short of parallel?
lol, stop it man.

Magic Chef Michel looks like an 80 year old dingbat broad doing "squats". He should put a velour jogging suit on don some beige velcro sneakers if he's going to squat like that.

He should beat the moron who was recording that feeble effort, and Pendyck should be banned from here.

If he isn't a Cane, I don't care about him. It's that simple. That applies to all of these so-called UM fans who choose another school.

As for Pindick, I have no idea why he visits this site and I agree that eh should be banned as it seems like he is trying to taunt UM fans with tales of how his nephew is doing.

He doesn't want to play his hand before his decision. Hes going to UF

i also disagree, a friend of mine had a full torn ACL and partially torn miniscus, used part of the hamstring from the same leg to repair the ACL. we work out 3x a week and he does full parrellel squats. this was less than a year after the surgery

/cool story the same friend actually hurt his knee in a flag football league that we play in and played 2 1/2 games on a torn ACL before realizing it was torn

//doctor told him it was just a knee sprain, go figure

UF tried to get a package discount on Lane and Quincy and Lane wanted them to pay full price for his services

/I kid, mayb he has a minor injury and doesn't want to compete
// he's got twins lined up that same weekend and doesn't want to miss out on double the ***
///can we say *** on CIS?

Exactly. He wants to build an audience for his announcement. LOL. He will reduce the size of his audience if people know where he is going so he is pretending that he is interested in more than one school.

I have no idea where he is going, but I strongly doubt it will be UM.

This is a Canes board, and most people on here are UM fans. Accordingly, we don't want to read sycophantic slop about some UGA commit. Pretty simple concept.

Exactly this...more power to the kid for half-squatting a large amount of weight. 0 ***** were given on this end...none.
