Best Recruiting Class Since 2000?

This class is pretty epic. I’ll tell you right now, the biggest program changer will be Lingard. The guy is a threat to go all the way every time he touches the ball. He will change how opposing defenses play against us. We haven’t had that home run threat in a long time. I’d bet he’s starting in no time. I can’t wait.
The biggest program charger will be at QB gottdammit!!! Dallas is just as or almost as explosive as Lingard. We need a change at QB TC.

Dallas is amazing, but he is no Lingard. You’ll see

Dallas may not have the long speed that Lingard has, but he has an incredible burst. He covers 10-15 yard as fast as about anyone I can think of.

Anyway I agree with the others that the most important addition will be the starting QB.

Never said QB wasn’t important. Not sure why that seems to be the message people received. My point is that Lingard is the Dalvin Cook, Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, Sony Michel type player that we’ve been missing on recently. If he would have gone somewhere else, this board would be melting down for the next 3 years every time he plays. He is the kind of player that gets Miami attention. That should compete for the Heisman. It’s going to be fun knowing he’s in the backfield every play.

An epic class needs:

1. A great QB
2. A great LT
3. A great DT

I think we’ve got reasons to be optimistic

Best class in UM history if Nesta, Ezzard, and one of PS2 or TC sign. (Already counting Miller and Bethel)

But this class is about to be the best in cfb history when we close on all 9 remaining targets.

Either way the most important piece on offense(game changer) is going to be from the QB position hands down. Ok let’s say Lingard is better cool, great but regardless of who runs the ball, without a game changing QB (whether it’s Nkosi,Williams or Weldon) we won’t be able to compete vs elite teams.
I do agree with you doe

That class with all the Northwestern kids was pretty hyped and highly-rated (07 or 08)

And IMO way over rated! This class is much better than that one.

I guess, but you have the benefit of hindsight and seeing how that class did already. I was in college when they got that class and I remember the hype thinking that was gonna be the class to get Miami back to where it needed to be.
Exactly. It was the #1 class in the country and if anyone is gonna try and say it was overrated I call bull****. People were going friggin crazy during that time.

QB is not just important, it’s the MOST important position right now that will change our program from relevant which we were this past season
To Elite. I guess QB don’t compete for Heismans huh? News flash one of them won it last year.

This class has more 5/4 star players than any class in the last decade. 08 was a big class too with lots of 3 stars which inflated their ranking. Not to mention, we are landing elite prospects from other states. I am confident 2018 is going to surpass that 08 class especially if we get a couple of them AH boys.

Dallas isn't a true running back. He's an all purpose offensive weapon.... RB, Wildcat QB, slot WR get him on the field and he's going to make plays.

Ok, what cost us last year??? That we lost our best **** running back or that we had a guy at the QB position that was horrendous??? The running game still produced but was plagued when teams found out as the season progressed that our QB was an inaccurate somamambich! The secret was out and those 3 games we lost were a result of bad no no no awful QB play.

What don’t you understand? Can you not read? I’m starting to think you’re not too bright. I never said anything about a QB not being a critical position. I’m talking about how huge Lingard is going to be for our program. Bama won the title with Jalen Hurts a few years ago. Is McCarron elite? Congrats, you know QB is a critical position. Thanks for the insight.

Yes we know he was an all purpose offensive weapon, for this past season. But it seems like he might make the change to running back permanently. But aside from that, the reasons I brought him up was because he played RB and he’s a blazer and every game he brought a higher level of speed when he came in the game.Only guy that compares to Lingard as a game changer.

"Can you not read?" Good one Mr bright bulb. Do you know what the word "most" means? You said Lingard is going to be the biggest program changer. Others are saying QB will be most important. And your retort is "I never said QB isn't important. Can u read?" DBC 2.0 in this ******* thread.

Don't bring your personal issues at me because you are NYStateofmind.v2. It must be tough being compared with him and valid. Something you're going to have to deal with

You misread something, project your faults on others, and then your only reply is your smear campaign because I downvoted one of your posts along with NY? You've got some solid points.

Seriously dude. I don't know why you want to pick an internet fight with me. Clearly you haven't seen me tear apart other posters. Good luck.

Is far as game changers go I think Travis Homer is in that group as well. Elite speed and strength for someone who isn't that big of a rb.

Honestly i think Homer, Dallas, Lingard, and Cam all have game changing speed and overall talent but their on style. It would be krazy to see some kind of Wildcat package with all 4 in at the same time.

The early signing period has tainted the judgement of a lot of people on our class because people are so focused on who we will close with on 02/07. It's a reason why our class is currently a top 5 class. It's already f'ucking loaded with studs across the board.

We have already signed the #2 and #7 RB, #1 TE and #8 , #2 FB, #5 QB, #5 and #1 2 OG, #1 1 WR, #1 2 CB, and we have the #2 DT commited.

In the list above, I only included players that are ranked in the top 12 of their respective positions. The list didn't include the likes of Gurvan Hall, Gilbert Frierson, Brian Hightower, and Cleveland Reed.

If we don't sign another player in this class, which obviously there is no chance in **** that would happen, this class is already elite!
