Best move for all involved - Mensah 1 more year

Pass up a potential $50million dollars guaranteed?

If he did that, I'd question his decision making ability.

No reason for him to come back, 3-year college starter who will likely end up as a Heisman winner & Davy O'Brien award winner, plus there's a fairly high probability we end up playing in & winning the Natty.

It would be almost career suicide for him to come back. And I doubt Mario would even let him.

Would be amazing..... But it's not happening, barring a collapse this year (which I don't think any of us want).

A lot of time but he is gone man. And he should be. Statistically you don’t do what you’re doing now after following what he did last year and not go to the draft. Just dumb. 3 years starting as well

This dude has nothing more to prove being at Miami another year whether Miami wins the title (hopefully) or not.

I didn't. Well, I kinda did but hey, there's always the portal.
I made a joke. Not necessarily a good one, but still a joke.

Judd will never never see significant snaps here. He needs to portalout if he wants to play. I don't say this to be a dicc; it's just the truth. I will wish him well since he's been a good sport and a good Cane.

The issue is, he'll probably want to get to that second contract as soon as possible. That's where the really big money is...
There are "Multi-Million $" Contracts for QB's in their Draft year. It amazes me how we "poo-poo" this as if they are dealing with "peanuts" ...

In the era of NIL and the outsized NIL for Mensah it might make a lot of sense to stay one more year, be first in the draft after that and keep honing his skills here on a national stage. He gets 1 more year with Malachi Toney, he develops his NFL game and NFL skills more and he avoids a way crowded QB pool coming out this year.

Been around a long time and have seen players leave early that I knew were mistakes and have seen players who I had no choice but admitting 'he has to leave early, he's ready now' (Edgerrin James). I think Mensah does the best thing for him by staying one more year and it is not a selfish decision. If he leaves, which he probably will, I wish him well of course but I would rather him be as ready as possible.

If Arch Manning comes out this year he definitely is making a mistake, I just think Mensah would benefit from 1 more year.
Mensah is getting drafted before Archie

For QBs that basically doesn’t matter. He is only like 21 today. Would max be 23 by draft. That’s nbd at all.

That’s only the case if he’s a top5 pick.
If he is a 1st he should declare.

However If he’s more likely to be a 2nd rounder, it’s $14m - which would be a lower AAV than he would receive here, and by returning could push him to 1st.

Three years starting and learning 3 unique playbooks is a big deal. He has played at a high level all three years, it’s time to go. He is as ready as he will be and I think he’ll be the best qb Mario has produced. Top 5 pick with three years experience, enjoy the NFL brother you earned it.
