Rosier couldn't hit people when they were wide open and the protection was good. How will good protection help him hit people that are wide open?

Also, running the ball down people's throats works a heck of a lot better when the team you are facing fears your QB will beat them over the top. Going to be hard as **** to run on anyone when no one fears your QB.

Having more of a balanced attack will help the offense overall. Being able to go out there and run the ball in short yardage and picking up first downs should help his rhythm and confidence. If the OL improves and these stud RBs coming in are legit we should see a more dynamic offense that is less predictable.
Also, as others have stated, too many people are expecting him to either stagnate in his performance or get worse as a QB. Very few people are really thinking that maybe with another off season he could improve. People are already handing the position to Perry or Williams which I think is a bit premature.

Problem with Rosier is he's just not that accurate at times. That's tough to fix.

Even if what you are saying is true and he shows that his major deficiencies cannot be fixed (I do not believe that, but I will play along with you here.)
The guy scored more TDs (between throwing and running the ball) than any other QB in Miami history in his very first season as starter. He won 10 games and is a leader in the locker room according to players and coaches. I don't think he has to do much more to take this team to the next level as long as the OL improves, & the young RBs live up to the hype. He can show a little bit more improvement in his decision making and he can develop even more of a rapport with his WRs and they can take it to another level.

If Richt has no QB in year three (and obviously no QB for 2019 either, as Rosier starting in '18 means Perry and the rest are duds) I will have to join the Dark Side again. (I assure you if Rosier starts next year, there WILL be a resurgent Dark Side).

Any real QB can waltz in and start for a Prime Time program with loads of playmakers. How in the **** can we go into year three with Folden's desperation back up QB? UNC's THIRD STRING QB looks like a Heisman Winner compared to Rosier.

there is basically zero chance this happens. Richt isn't throwing away a chance to win a title . Perry is the starter unless Williams is just da god from day 1.
 
I don't care what happens I just don't want there to be another year, that UCF, South Florida, and FAU has better QB play than us.

I'd hate to be the one to evaluate QB's. There are great practice QB's that light it up in practice and when the spotlight comes on theirs goes out. I am thrilled that Richt is our coach but I would love to see him give any backup the opportunity to show their stuff when the games are live, that is the only way you know if a kid is like Kosar...weird throwing motion...probably not that great in practice buy a real gamer. Unfortunately with Rosier at QB we never seemed to get in a position to experiment since we played so many close games. I hardly remember if he ever substituted the QB during a live game except for one series and if Rosier got dinged. None of us know how any of our backups would perform under live conditioned and I am disheartened by that.
In 1966 the Dolphins were a new franchise and took Rick Norton out of Kentucky I believe with the first pick. The Dolphin practices were usually open to the public and Norton was great in practice, unfortunately when the lights came on his went out and was probably one of the worse starting QB's ever in the NFL.Just for grins check this out remembering that in practice he looked all world:

Here is my updated percentages on who has the best chance to start this season...

Perry - 40%
Weldon - 40%
Rosier - 0% ( time is up)
Williams - 20% (will redshirt if he doesn't start)

Sounds like you never left this Dark Side that you're proud of being a part of for some reason. We just won 10 games and the Coastal in year 2(most people's preseason expectations) and we still have "fans" saying ignorant **** like this.

I agree but The only reason I can come up with is what he seems to be mentally and athletically based on film and interviews. Probably not the best of reasons but I'm not impressed with the rest of the candidates

Regardless of how he phrased it he is absolutely correct.

I don't think they came up with it, teams tried that all year. In the other games Rosier was accurate enough and the D played well enough to loosen things up for the running game and allow us to win. Either Pitt did it better or (more likely) Rosier just hit some kind of wall and was no longer able to make enough open throws to win a game.
