Berrios say Rosier will most likely start

says the ****** trying to convince anyone that "a few changes" would drastically improve 54% and 7.5 ypp on the season enough to make rosier impressive.

LOL...they did for Charlie Ward:

1992 204 365 55.9 2,647 22 17
1993 264 380 69.5 3,032 27 4

Kid did go 10 - 3 and took us to 1st conference title game. Last three games sucked but some will have to beat him out of the job, mark is not just giving it away. We need better qb play, no question.

The talent level, depth, and execution of the offense will be better across the board. Any QB will look good next season. Just a matter of being consistent.

Some of the greatest players in the history of Miami (and the NFL) wanted Larry Coker as their Head Coach ......... Loyalty is nice but not a good idea

Can the new guys protect ball - if not, dont expect a change.....but I expect a change

Miami Hurricanes star predicts next starting quarterback | Miami Herald

I hope that's not the case, but in reality he does have a leg up. The only thing is when you look at the entire season we were lucky to win some of the games we won with him and and ended with that horrible streak when he completely disappeared from games. You know what you getting from him and last year we got his max. Time to find someone with a higher ceiling than Rosier if we want to go further

I'm all for an open QB competition ...but I'm for moving on with the new guy if its close.
Before the season started my best friend (huge fsu fan) asked me about Rosier .. I told him he's a "Career backup type player" ... That showed throughout the season .... I like Rosier .... But you are not going to win the big games / titles with him ...... Perry needs to be the man .... Just opinion doe

Cats talking about not watching games if someone starts they don't like. Some real die hard "fans" around here.

If rosier starts or is the best we have.going to be a very long season for us.might win 8 -9 games maybe just 7.

If Rosier is named the starter next season.

They better have a Michel/Chubb type running game.

Rosier will be a grad transfer. Kid will ask for a transfer after spring ball when Perry passes him on the depth chart. Book it.

I was kinda surprised when I read Rosiers stats again, if you had told me at the start of the season he'd have stats like that I wouldn't have believed it. Three less int's and three more TD's and that's a impressive stat line.

He completed 51% of his passes against power 5 teams and for 7.32 YPP. That is horrendous.

Nothing about that changes the fact that he had decent stats and a few changes and it would have been even better.

He didn't have decent stats, in a college football world where below average passing QBs can consistently complete more than 55% of their passes, Rosier was sub 40% for a significant stretch of the season.

Fundamental difference between Charlie Ward and Malik Rosier, you saw the talent with Ward, even though he was wild at times in 1992. You also have to remember that Ward is a freakish outlier, betting on anyone, much less a guy who was at times a sub 40% passer to improve as much as a Heisman winner is a bit stupid.

Give me a QB that watches film on his own initiative, and doesn’t become “lackadaisical” and “just going through the motions” after 10 wins

I get your point, but Rosier had no sub 40% games.

Rosier is a below average to average College QB. When he gets hot he can be above average for a stretch. When hes cold he aint even D1 material. He is not leading to more success than what we got last year. Dude doesnt have that eat sleep **** football mentality hes said it himself. Nor does he have the natural talent to overcome a lackadaisical attitude. We win 8-9 games tops with him being the starter next year. You cant depend on the amount of turnovers we got last season. Even with those turnovers we barely squeaked out of games. Because i Offense couldnt put points on the board this is college not the NFL u get 4 turnovers should win by 21+.

Rosier will win the job, but I fully expect Perry to come in and put some work in. I suspect he'll move the ball better and eventually the torch will have been handed off completely.
