Berrios say Rosier will most likely start

I think BB is right. CMR is a very conservative coach and Rosier has a big advantage is "managing the game." Not to say Perry or whomever won't see more action than Shirreffs did. Maybe a series in each half, if the game allows. I suspect Dallas will get plAy there too in his "package" designed for as a changeup to Rosier. Like to see DJ get a lot of work in camp throwing the ball. That could be very effective in places.

As a fan who watched in person every home game, to include the FSU contest, Berios comments about Rosier are not totally honest. Rosier did lead several come from behind wins, but we should have never been in those positions. Our schedule and defensive unit were the main reason for a 10 win season...not Rosier. Nevertheless, Rosier was the best option for the team, because Perry and Weldon were not ready.

Rosier has significant limitations in the passing game, which we could never exploit a defense weakness! Rosier cannot throw the deep passing routes: Post, Flag, Fly, and 15-20 yards come back! Rosier makes up his mind to throw regardless of the coverage, just review each game highlights. But, I like Rosier's toughness as a runner!

I still don't believe the problem is QB play! QB development and play-calling have been an issue with me from Jacory, Morris, Kaaya, and now Rosier. Each year, our QBs display poor mechanics, decision-making, and inability to read a defense. The play calling limits are ability to attack with conservative schemes: No motion to help QB see man or zone, and not taking advantage of mismatches in coverage.

The bashing of Rosier is uncalled for. I really hate this fanbase. However, I agree he's very limited and that Perry will most likely start.

I remember when everyone was all in for Catcus Jack, who is just a memory now, but it does have the same feeling concerning Perry's ability.

Soo many are really incapable of having a rational perspective of anything, it's all one way or nothing. You can admit that Rosier had some great moments and still want Perry to be the starter, you won't lose your place in the fan club by doing so.
The incessant need for supposed fans to rip our own players tells you all you need to know about their level of intelligence/maturity.

I thought Rosier did a fine job and played most of season at his highest level and was good enough to win. when he’s not at his best, he is not even close serviceable IMO. After college, I don’t see any way he plays NFL or Canadian. Maybe arena ball. That said, if he is the best QB on our roster, I think we have bigger problems than we think.

Berrios also thinks he can play outside in the NFL, so I'm not gonna take it too seriously.

But **** kid, 5'8 with 28" arms...even being a slot with those dimensions is gonna be tough.

The way I see it, as long as the OL improves and the depth at RB improves Rosier may have a very good chance at leading us to a Playoff.
He almost did it with an okay OL and the best RB in the ACC going down, Homer having to fill in spontaneously, and a bunch of unproven guys.

Running the ball consistently down people's throats will help alleviate things immensely.

IF Rosier is still that far ahead of Perry, then Williams will jump them both.

Rosier couldn't hit people when they were wide open and the protection was good. How will good protection help him hit people that are wide open?

Also, running the ball down people's throats works a heck of a lot better when the team you are facing fears your QB will beat them over the top. Going to be hard as **** to run on anyone when no one fears your QB.

Pitt came up with the template to beat us last year. All you had to do was load the box to stop the run and see if Rosier could beat you by taking advantage of the one on one matchups. He couldn't. He struggled with basic throws to the flat and with the intermediate throws to the middle of the field. Even many of the completions did not allow the receivers to gain YAC because they had to dive for them or back track on the route. There is nothing he does in the passing game that is above average. Nothing. His best skill seems to be running in the open field as he demonstrated an ability to read blocks and find open spaces. That said, he is not quick and he is not fast. When we were 10-0, I was OK with him despite his proclivity for producing 3 and outs. Much of that time however, we were getting 4 turnovers a game and the extent to which that helped him cannot be overstated. After he was exposed by Pitt and Clemson, it became clear that he was woefully over matched. I just don't see that changing anytime soon when we play the Clemsons of the world. Perry and/or Williams MUST step up this spring.

At least berries opinion is legit. May the best man win but rosier Prolly is the odds on favorite to win. If he gets beat out that is great for Miami. Other than that you hope rosier gets better which he should. He did lose his top 3 offensive weapons this year and Miami kinda fell apart at the end but they should learn from that as a team.

Having more of a balanced attack will help the offense overall. Being able to go out there and run the ball in short yardage and picking up first downs should help his rhythm and confidence. If the OL improves and these stud RBs coming in are legit we should see a more dynamic offense that is less predictable.
Also, as others have stated, too many people are expecting him to either stagnate in his performance or get worse as a QB. Very few people are really thinking that maybe with another off season he could improve. People are already handing the position to Perry or Williams which I think is a bit premature.

If we can get improved OL play we could have a serious run game with Homer, Lingard and Dallas as a wrinkle.

Problem with Rosier is he's just not that accurate at times. That's tough to fix.

So if our problem isn't QB play, why have you listed 4 QBs who played across 3 HCs?
