Benedict Cristobal is gone

Or maybe he isn't all in with Golden. If he takes the gig, I think it would be very telling about his perception of the program under Golden.

Jesus you're sure trying to find ways to bash Golden in an underhanded way. To me......I think it's a telling way about my perception he's a douche bag.

LOL. Canesugar, you can neg me all you want. If you think we are on the same level as alabama RIGHT NOW then fine. If you think it is a better job then miami RIGHT NOW then fine. If you think it isnt a higher paying job then fine also. I will polish your orange and green glasses for you bro. All I said was why are we killing the guy for going on an INTERVIEW. LOL!

rudebuddha, my friend lecturing me on hurricane history is pointless for u. Dont let the post count fool you. But we can agree to disagree. Go Canes. And lets hope Mario stays. I am out of this thread until an actual decision is made. Then we can revisit.

Mario's "perception" of the program must have been awesome when he decided to stay on as OL corch under Coker instead of taking the jets OL corching job.

Cristotbal's judgement here is terrible and it is a reflection of his ability to be a leader and a head coach.

Please stop. Who cares. Guys interview for **** every day. If he takes the job so what. I know it's dark, but we are Miami.

If true, what it really tells me is that Mario is not the strategic mind I'd hope he could become. It's a very short-sighted move.

First off, let me preface this with saying I'd be shocked if he went elsewhere. By all accounts, he turned down both Schiano and Chud for the Miami job.

Secondly, I think it would be short-sighted for anyone NOT to check all their options. If someone came at me with a possible job offer, even if I'm comfortable and happy with where I'm at, I'd be an idiot to not listen to what they have to offer. I'd actually question his intelligence if he didn't go through with an interview if they requested one, unless Golden explicitly blocks him from doing so.

And last but not least, he wouldn't have done this without informing Golden. You don't burn your coaching bridges for a "possibility."

Scumbags "explore their options" after a month working for their alma mater. There's no other way to put it. This is a black and white deal here. If he interviews with Alabama, then he's a piece of **** scumbag. This one's easy. Not everything requires hair-splitting and rationalizations.

Mario isn't leaving Al like this. You guys ever heard of doing your "Due diligence"? NICK SABAN called him and asked him to interview. You don't say no to that I am sorry. If the CEO of Apple calls you and ask you to interview YOU GO even if you know you not accepting no matter what the offer. And **** if Nick opens the vault for Mario then you wish the guy well.

You guys better get used to this. The better we get the more assistants that are gonna bolt. Christobal and Coley will be gone within 3 years tops maybe 2. Donofrio was almost gone to temple from all reports. So within 3 years most of the staff will be gone. **** we lost two this year and we were a 7-6 team! The "Streets is Watching" and they know we have a **** good coaching staff that is VERY underpaid.

(The reason I say 3 years is because that is around the time when we stick our flag into College football again and claim it for Dade County! Lol. )

I agree with this as bad as it looks you have to take this interview and hear Saban out. That being said I believe coaches should commit to a school and stay for at least two years.

You dudes act like Saban is a deity and Alabama is the mecca. This dude doesn't walk on water. He can't part the sea. He's a f*cking football coach. You don't have to hear him out like he's the Pope, and you're some aspiring young cardinal. He's the HC of a rival program, and you just took this job with your alma mater a month ago. You don't do this.

It could just as easily be very telling about him as a person and have nothing to do with Al.

For those that have the belief that "you just don't say no to saban" and accept that a courtesy iview is not short sighted, there's no burning bridges by telling saban "I am flattered by your request but I am committed to the school that just hired me."

My only worry is that there already is head butting bw Mario and coley.

Franchise, you good peoples and I remember following you cats on Canesport back in the day. Isnt Reuben Randle your brother or something? Anyway, Im not a Saban **** rider. Im just not one of those people who think we should lock Mario out of dade county for going on an interview. I trust Al and if he smelled a rat im sure he would take care of it. And its not like he went to interview at some 2nd rate school or anything. But well see how it plays out.

Unless this potentiality was specifically addressed with Al before the hire, I disown this dude if he interviews.

Yup, if he interviews I'd fire his ***!

I'd let Bama hire someone else, wait awhile until there are no other job openings out there and then fire him.

There's right, and there's wrong. Some things are very simple. Not everything in life should be dictated by what appeals to you at that very moment.

No, sir. That's DMitch you're talking about. He's a really good dude.

huh? Why? Coley is Mario's old OC. No way Coley even comes if not for Mario.

He's been using the U for years, hasn't done ONE thing for us in decades. Golden's stock is dropping in my book. Keeps getting played.

I was told by a smart man one time, "You never turn down an interview."

I've done it, though.

Let me put it this way, I would never live in Alabama. I don't care if they pay me 3 times the money to do half the work, it is still Alabama and you have to spend most of your time there.

Didn't Cristobal's wife not want him going to Pittsburgh and Rutgers? But she is okay with him living in facking Alabama?
