Benedict Cristobal is gone

well earlier in this thread Navy said it was leaked that Mario was making between 500k and 625k here at Miami. so something doesn't jive

If that is the case, which I have absolutely no reason to argue one way or another, **** Mario.

So if you are against Mario interviewing, what are your thoughts on Coley? Is he a piece of **** too?

Coley didn't play for FSU. Coleys family lives in Miami. Coley will actually get play calling duties now. Completely different circumstance

Maybe he wants 3x the money. How many of you all would turn down a job doing the same **** thing getting paid 3x as much? I thought not. Let it play out.

They're going to pay him around $1.5M to be their OL corch when the guy who just left was making less than $400K? Makes sense.

No, not what I am saying. You think that Miami is going to give 395k for the TE coach? Stoutland was getting that. Miami being private, we won't know for sure, but I am thinking maybe 150k, and Bama probably willing to up to about 500k due to Mario's history of being a former D1 coach and good recruiter, plus the coffers are full with Bama due to the revenue from the NC. Again, we will never know, but I am probably going out on the limb and saying Bama probably is paying 3x to assistants that UM. (Which does make sense)

Your fake facts are all jumbled. Mario's making a lot of money here despite what many think about UM being unable to pay corches.

That's a bad analogy. Mario has been on the job for 2 months. Coley was at FSU for like 5 years with no upward mobility there. And if I was an FSU fan, I'd think absolutely think Coley was a scumbag, but let's not act like his situation is analogous whatsoever to Mario interviewing with Alabama. Hopefully it's the same situation as Barrow and UF.

Did you think before you typed that? You actually believe Mario the Great is making $150k here? That's just a bit more than Ice man stole from UM when he "worked" here. Guess what -- to use your words -- "due to Mario's history of being a former D1 coach and good recruiter" UM pays him quite well.

Make no mistake, lost all respect for Mario Cristobama.
However, I'm also getting tired of some of our fellow Cane "fans" holding Alabama and their scummy coach
in some sort of lofty reverence, almost on a religious level which I find disgusting.
THat sort of respect and love should only be directed at our school.
I suspect some of you so-called fans live in SEC country and have been subjected to brainwashing or something.
But you folks are pathetic, especially with your latest rationalization of Mario Cristobama's latest stunt.

I know from speaking to a coach some time back the position coaches make between $200k and $250k depending on experience. There WILL be one here and there that are on the $150 to $175k slope, but its not the norm.

I would think it would be reasonable to think we pay less than Alabama for coaches. Being a private institution, we probably will never know the truth on pay, so we can all speculate. I would have to agree, Mario is probably making much more than I put in my original post. I would have believed he was not making the $395k Stoutland was getting paid, therefore it would be a pay increase. If the amounts of 500k - 650k is accurate (again, we won't know due to Miami being a private institution), then him leaving for same or less would be pretty screwed up.

Now back to the original intent of what my post was for, if a person leaves for a pay increase to do the same job, I believe it would be hypocritical for anyone to criticize that person for doing it, as if you were offered a job in the same capacity for much more, you probably would take it.

Not after 1 month on the job at your alma-mater no less.
Geez, some of you folks....total lack of ethics.
