There were so many big plays by some many of our guys but that conversion on 3rd and 11 may end up being the play that best represents Beck's leadership and pure desire to win and not be denied! You can laugh if you want but the first thing it reminded me of was John Elway's helicopter run on 3rd and 6(IIRC) vs the Packers in Super Bowl XXXII. I'm so happy for Carson Beck! I'm so proud of this entire team and staff!

Beck is 15-3 against ranked opponents and people still think it's an accident.
I heard he was not a leader and trash. He and Dawson are executing perfectly.

He put his head down two times and proved he would put it on the line. He got robbed on one. Beck has proven it over and over again. He is also a 2 x National Champ. People wonder who wanted it more last night. Not the other guys who were 1 x National Champs.

Fwiw Pat M said the refs spoke before the game and said they weren't there to throw flags. That was pretty clear from watching it but interesting to hear.

This is the one that showed me the most about Beck, his leadership, and will to win. But there was no sliding last night from him at all. He showed a lot of guts and putting the team first over his overall health and future. He has all of my respect
People never talk about how after Beck got hurt last year at the SEC Championship, he WENT BACK IN THE GAME to pitch the ball out to the RB and make a play and help his team get a TD. Only then did they go into halftime, where he left the game.

He’s the epitome of a leader. There’s a reason Kirby fought to keep him.

Makes me wonder if he played most or all of the season with that injury he needed surgery for. And it was just never disclosed or maybe he didn’t tell anybody.

I don’t know enough about that injury to know how it works. Is it something that can happen gradually?

I do know something definitely happened on the play where he got injured in that game. I saw it live, and I’ve rewatched it multiple times. But if that’s the type of injury that can start gradually and then have something drastic be the straw that breaks the camel’s back, I see your point. Especially since he was a baseball and football player all up until college.

I’m not sure either. If it can be played through at all. Or if it happened and he was just done at that point. But I always wondered since a lot of his passes were just kinda off that year. I know he had terrible recievers and protection but he was off.

When he ran for the first down in the first half and was called back, I knew this was a different carson beck. He had a similar run during lville but slid short like an idiot. He’s locked in
