it’s not just the interceptions. He’s not on target even on his completions. Even Kirk herbstreit called it out last night. Go back and watch ND, USF, and UF his throws are off in a way that cause the receivers to lose momentum; getting tackled for a loss on screens or no gain otherwise. Stats against power 5 ain’t all that great: 68%, 705 yards, 5 tds, 3 ints “ wah wah”. He’s averaging 235 yds/game 1.66 tds and 1 int. That ain’t gonna get it done in the playoffs and a lot of you schlubs are gonna be butt hurt when it’s a tight game and he throws a pick on a game ending 2 minute drive.
Meanwhile hometown kid Fernando Mendoza tosses 5 tds against a top ten with no ints on the season. But hey loafers don’t lie.

Exactly! Yeah I’m being a little over critical and hyperbolic but it’s a message board. Cam ward on this team and not only are we a shoe in but we blow every team out of the water.OP isn't completely wrong about Beck.
I disagree on the Mendoza thing though.
I still think getting Beck was the best choice.
But last night really had me thinking that if Cam was on THIS team, I think we are a shoe in to go to the National Title game.
I do think Beck will play better at FSU. But the rest is yet to be determined. All we can do is watch him progress.
Literally been watching for exactly 30 years since I went to highschool with James JacksonIllini is not a top 10 team.
Floridas defense is likely a top 10 defense they just don’t have the offense to fuel them.
Beck had limited time to practice preseason so naturally he’s still a bit rusty.
Some of the routes were off due to miscommunications, holds by the D. However do agree he has been overthrowing and under throwing some passes. Although you need to remember nobody is perfect.
You clearly haven’t been watching this team for the past 3 decades. This team feels different. Enjoy it rather than being a whiney B&$@tch.
IDK what you expect when it was raining so hard the majority of the game. Would love to see what your hero and savior would do with a wet football on a wet field, which greatly assisted the UF defense. Beck passed with high efficiency the first three games when it didn’t rain as much as it did during the UF game.Exactly! Yeah I’m being a little over critical and hyperbolic but it’s a message board. Cam ward on this team and not only are we a shoe in but we blow every team out of the water.
Where we disagree is I think, **in hindsight** Mendoza will have a better year, same with the kid at OU from WSU. My bet is out of those three beck will have the worst year. Further hes worth something but I wouldn’t have paid him $3 million, playing like $1-$1.5 million
One of the worst performance I have ever seen from a Miami Qb. If he cannot throw a ball in the wet rain then him and his receivers need to spend hours each week in the pouring rain playing 7 vs 7. He was throwing balls into the ground last night on 10 yard throws. Honestly looked like he was throwing with his left hand instead of his right. Beyond pathetic. Mendoza from Indiana would have been a much better pick up and was a huge mistake not to get him. Mateer from Okahoma is a 100 times better.
I know his brother. Great guy.Literally been watching for exactly 30 years since I went to highschool with James Jackson
Looks like it may be time for someone to steam their ******!it’s not just the interceptions. He’s not on target even on his completions. Even Kirk herbstreit called it out last night. You could just watch Indiana's week 1 game against Old Dominion.Let Indiana play uf's d and let's see what happens lol
It's geniuses all the way down. Why are we the way we are? Do other teams have this on their boards?

What if your mom had balls kinda argument no? Though they are playing well, does our TOP help last years D?OP's taking a beating, and deservedly so. But I'd be lying to not say there's a level of concern with Beck. Holy crap, with Cam at the helm what would this team look like?
So yeah, off night. Bad weather, not much separation on a lot of the routes....
But within the context of this team being poised to make a run, I am a bit concerned about Beck.
