Beck ain’t it, whiffed on Mendoza

it’s not just the interceptions. He’s not on target even on his completions. Go back and watch ND, USF, and UF his throws are off in a way that cause the receivers to lose momentum; getting tackled for a loss on screens or no gain otherwise. Stats against power 5 ain’t all that great: 68%, 705 yards, 5 tds, 3 ints “ wah wah🎺🎺”. He’s averaging 235 yds/game 1.66 tds and 1 int. That ain’t gonna get it done in the playoffs and a lot of you schlubs are gonna be butt hurt when it’s a tight game and he throws a pick on a game ending 2 minute drive.

Meanwhile hometown kid Fernando Mendoza tosses 5 tds against a top ten with no ints on the season. But hey loafers don’t lie.

Bring on the hate🤫🤫🤫
The best part of this game will come against FSU, because that gunslinger is going to come back with a little bigger chip on his shoulder.

Heading into last night, he was #1 in the country in completion percentage. So miss me with “his throws are off”.

Last night was a soup bowl for the first half. And I need to rewatch the game but I think a part of what happened is what had a lot of us the most concerned going into the year. When we play a secondary with athletes as good as our receivers, will they be able to get separation? Beck held the ball way more last night than he has at any point this season. Why? Nobody is open.

He didn’t play well, for sure. He missed at least 2-3 throws he rarely does. But how many open receivers did you see where a better ball would’ve been a completion? Very few that I can remember. I expect him to be much better and a main reason we win in 2 weeks in Tallahassee.
I actually expect FSU to play the exact same style of defense - cover 2 with shell underneath. They did it last year and it slowed Cam down.

really stupid post
Rather Emory start?
We are where we are but this beck slurping has to stop. Defense is playing at a championship level, so is the Oline, as are the running backs. Fletcher needs to get it out of mind he ain’t 5’9, physics don’t work the same way when your 6’2. He needs to stop trying to juke people out because he’s only done once in three years. The tight end play has been wanting, receivers are good not great. Same with beck, he’s good but he ain’t great

He was leading the country in completion % before he played a game that rained for 3/4 of it against a really solid defense, but sure I guess if you need something to whine like a little ***** about.

His stats are Inflated by Bethune. His completions are off target. You apparently don’t watch the games. Even Kirk herbstreit called it out last night
