it’s not just the interceptions. He’s not on target even on his completions. Even Kirk herbstreit called it out last night. Go back and watch ND, USF, and UF his throws are off in a way that cause the receivers to lose momentum; getting tackled for a loss on screens or no gain otherwise. Stats against power 5 ain’t all that great: 68%, 705 yards, 5 tds, 3 ints “ wah wah🎺🎺”. He’s averaging 235 yds/game 1.66 tds and 1 int. That ain’t gonna get it done in the playoffs and a lot of you schlubs are gonna be butt hurt when it’s a tight game and he throws a pick on a game ending 2 minute drive.

Meanwhile hometown kid Fernando Mendoza tosses 5 tds against a top ten with no ints on the season. But hey loafers don’t lie.

Bring on the hate🤫🤫🤫

I think the wet weather, combined with Beck having an off day and UF defense playing well all factored in. Beck will play much better against FSU. Everyone has bad days once in a while.

Heading into last night, he was #1 in the country in completion percentage. So miss me with “his throws are off”.

Last night was a soup bowl for the first half. And I need to rewatch the game but I think a part of what happened is what had a lot of us the most concerned going into the year. When we play a secondary with athletes as good as our receivers, will they be able to get separation? Beck held the ball way more last night than he has at any point this season. Why? Nobody is open.

He didn’t play well, for sure. He missed at least 2-3 throws he rarely does. But how many open receivers did you see where a better ball would’ve been a completion? Very few that I can remember. I expect him to be much better and a main reason we win in 2 weeks in Tallahassee.

Illinois is NOT a top 10 team.

You don’t need hate. You need a doctor.

It’s so funny to me, listening to trolls from other fan bases, and even our own fans this morning saying, “Beck sucks”, “Beck is overrated” blah blah blah. It was a game against a hated rival and a Gator team, that, say what you will about their offense but they have a very, VERY good defense. If you look at all the elite teams, every year, they always have 2-3 games a year where you’re out of sync, your mettle/resolve is tested, and even though nothing seems to be working you find a way to push through. That’s what championship teams do. Through 4 games, what I’ve learned most about this team is that they are just as mentally strong as they are physically gifted. It wasn’t a great game for Carson, but the TEAM found away to fight through the adversity and get the W. Again, that’s what championship teams do. Go Canes!

To the highlighted comment above - I was not a fan of Shannon's route concepts last night. Outside of the few nice plays to Lofton, it didn't appear like he countered what UF was doing on D or doing more to scheme WRs open. It's difficult to know for sure without the All-22 film but during some replays, all i saw was simple routes with UF DBs glued to the WRs.

You’re an idiot and you should see yourself out of here and maybe think about joining an Indiana board. Just a thought sport.
