He wasn't athletic enough to beat out Walford and Cleveland, and he **** sure wouldn't have been athletic enough to beat out Njoku and Herndon.

Miami has a high standard for tight ends. Sandland didn't meet that standard. You can blame "cultural differences." I just think he wasn't good enough.

We always knew he was a workout warrior who could beat up weak competition. The problem is that against top athletes, he can't play fast/quick enough to make up for his bad blocking.

That's why he got beat out here, and that's why I don't expect him to make it at the next level.

You need to calm down bud, he was one pick away from being Mr Irrelevant so still congrats to him for even being drafted. But he got drafted to the Carolina Panthers so once again he just gonna be sitting bench behind a Miami TE. Im sure he works his *** off or he would never have been this far, but I do believe he just was never going to see the field at Miami because of the amount of talent we got for TE's. You must be a huge fan of Sandland so just be happy he was smart enough to notice that.

Just because Sandland was drafted doesn't mean he was good enough to play here. I hate how UM handled the coaching situation from Coker to Folden, and know there were plenty of players during that time that weren't worthy of playing at UM, but DMoney is right in that the standard at UM was too good for him.

Walford was better at UM than Sandland and will be a better pro. Cleveland has stuck around in the league for a good bit. Present day, Njoku looks primed to have a very good season and is certainly athletic enough as a prospect to garner NFL attention into the future.

Happy for Sandland, hope he does well, but relative to the competition, he wasn't athletic or good enough to play at Miami.

I couldn't give a **** about Sandland to be honest. It's just funny how the goal posts keep moving. D$ essentially called the kid dog **** and a workout warrior & not athletic enough. Now it's because he wasn't better than the people in front of him. Well no **** Sherlock.

Saying he isn't athletic enough or good enough to play here (out of his element/can't compete) and/or not as good as the people in front of him are two different things. Saying he didn't "belong" on the field (as D$ is implying) is just complete idiocy.

You're an SEC honk, so you'll keep repeating the SEC party line. But UM players traditionally get picked higher than they should. There's a pro-UM bias in the NFL whether there should be or not. If Phil Dorsett went to Arkansas he's a 4th rounder tops.
