Rumor Baylor HC Job is enticing to Dawson

(1) Hire Kevin decker. (2) Get rings.
I don't think that his philosophy will match well with Mario, but it's certainly a hire that would be great. He's a fast riser and won't stay at Memphis for long.

Idk guys you think we’d be able to find someone who would want to coach offense for Mali , Nick , Josh Moore , Brysen wright , Amir sears , Javion Mallory with the best OL coach in the country and also get the best portal QB every year ?

The easiest higher is Jeff Traylor of UTSA who has done a great job of developing players. Deep connections in high school football as a former legendary coach. Boosters will be able to raise $$$ with Traylor.

Would be a good spot for him...but its tough to win there consistently. Tough to recruit consistently.

But they are looking in the right direction with an offensive coordinator.

We need to start treating each other a little bit nicer

Are we sure Dawson wants to be HC? He’s got a pretty good gig going here to leave for a G5 school.
We have two coordinators who are just that and are comfortable with it.

Things change but I said it last year. It’s going to take a premium gig or a fallout internally for them to leave. Especially for a HC spot because who they are.

I could be wrong, but I think Baylor's OC Spavital comes from Dawson's tree. This may be an issue for Dawson if he covers this job. They should consider the interim HC Klanderman who i believe has done a good job in Waco and who has a nice resume from his Kansas State and North Dakota State days.

Why do you say he wouldn’t mesh? He has been very balanced since his days at Fordham. Star in the making (and has been for a while), imo.

his wife really like miami. she is tired of moving. with 2 young girls, she wants some stability. I doubt he leaves in the next 2 years unless it is a perfect setup and she is 100% on board. sure everyone thinks the next thing is the perfect setup and Baylor might be a good gig for him. I love Baylor but Waco might not be the place for her. just saying. .

You know how lucky we are that a successful coordinator/position coach and family actually like living in miami? Most coaches families can’t wait to leave because of how different it is. Amazing to hear how much they love it. Sounds like a guy that might retire down here like JJ did

Lot of uptempo, he's spreading the field extremely wide, extremely relying on individual matchups and angles.

Not necessarily a ball-control-style of offense and it's volatile. Not saying it wouldn't fit with Miami and how we recruit, but Mario is Mario and he has his style of a football that won't leave.
