Baumann and the Blocked Punt (Indiana Scouting)

What if Indiana had MUFFed that punt? Talk about a feel-good ending. We certainly would've gotten a shot. Probably would've ended in the climax of us scoring.

Not gonna lie, the best punt is a MUFFed punt.

it is multiple games. ND and Indiana. Time will tell on other games Give me time, meng.

The number of things that went wrong in a 6-point game is amazing.
Lofton-Out
Brown-Out
Lucas-Out for a half on a BS call
OJ - Got hurt + Dropped pick in endzone
O'Connor - Should have had the pick-6 (Got cooked, but they made plays)
Field Goal - Missed
Trick punt return - Punter kicks well above his average for distance and hang time to ruin it
Mesidor - Should have had a sack fumble, but the Gel **** saved Mendoza from losing the ball
4th down scramble - Hetherman said he realized late and tried to yell it out to his players
Beck - Forced the throw when he had a ton of time (40ish yards and 50ish seconds left)
Baumann - F**k that guy
I'm sure I am missing some, too

All of that to have the ball with a chance to win it at the end. This s**t will haunt me for a long time.

i hate indiana fans with a passion now.

they never had a single football fan and now i see these random ******* pasty ******* wearing their gear in the gym like theyve been fans all their lives.

the best was i saw a bunch of them the day after the title game take the brightline from aventura to FLL with their luggage and i was like, its cheaper to take an uber for your entire family you dimwits.

It goes both ways. You want “but but but, what if” ******* doesn’t miss the block”. The point is, besides numb nuts Bauman, there was other areas where we **** the bed. Dawson in the 1st half was abysmal.

It’s not about “what if” based on the actions of 22 guys interacting.

It’s about ONE GUY failing to do his job on one play. And the impact of that failure.

Which is fundamentally different from YOUR bull****. “But guysm, what if Indiana got the ball and suddenly did something they had been incapable of doing in the second half…”

YOUR bull**** is purely speculative and runs opposite to what was actually happening in the game at that time.

Stop coming into this thread, with grossly oversimplified and inaccurate comparisons, in order to act like a blocked punt (for a TD) was irrelevant “because anything can happen”.

Agreed. Talked a lot of **** about the Lofton stuff all year but Pitt/A&M/Ole Miss he was finding his groove. Not having him against IU was a loss for sure

Ironically if Beck hits Mali instead of the INT and we win, we’d be looking back at that massive catch Bauman had earlier in the drive a little differently
