Baumann and the Blocked Punt (Indiana Scouting)

rewatching all games from last year. yeah, that's what i do during the offseason. Well, Baumann missed the outside guy on the second punt and the punt almost got blocked. pretty sure Indiana saw it while scouting our games. we didn't fix this and it came back to haunt us.

there was nothing to fix..he just had to give effort an block the guy or attempt to hit the guy since his unathletic *** is never expected to make a tackle anyway

Indiana was in punt safe the **** dude didnt even run full speed who blocked it.
 
The dlineman called it on punt safe that Bauman didnt block him the first time and said he pulled the trigger the 2nd time and called his shot.. He did it in the game twice, I guess the second time the punter kinda rolled into it also.. If you can press play Time stamped 39:12 punt

It is for most aggressive defenses... remember the infamous paper napkin play by Lou Holtz and ND versus JJ's canes.

Lou noticed it and drew up the play on a napkin during breakfast on gameday. Pulled it off in the 4th qtr for the winning score.
 
I can’t stand Bauman, but Indiana would have got the ball with good field position. Who’s to say they don’t score and take more time off the clock? Probably hit some more back shoulder throws on O’Connor. Even if D stopped them, how do we know our QB doesn’t throw another pick? Or Dawson reverts to his 1st half behavior. This loss was a group loss between Bauman, Dawson, O’Connor, and Beck. Weak links get exposed in games like this.
