Barry Jackson Reitterates UM's Interest in Beckham Stadium

Stupid idea I think.

Where do we tailgate?

In the ****ing water.

Party boat tailgating would make UM even more unique. I think this is one of the most badass ideas we've ever had.

Doesn't Tennessee already do that?

I'm not sure what body of water runs through Knoxville, but I'm sure it doesn't compare to Biscayne Bay.

The Tennessee River....A BIGASS ******* RIVER. I have friends in Chattanooga that take their boats up to Knoxville for UT games. It's a 2 hour drive by car, and about 6 hours by boat. Who cares how big it is? You act like people are going to show up to games in ******* Carnival Cruise ships to tailgate.

Oh it's a bigass river? Not impressed.

Oh, it's a glorified canal that goes out the ocean....I'm not impressed. What's your point? The site we're looking at is not on the beach. It's an industrial site. I don't really think you understand what you're talking about here, other than saying, "it's in Miami, it must be better than what's in Tennessee."

We have been reduced to arguing whether the Tennessee River or Biscayne Bay is better for boat tailgating.

Nice work.

It is clearly an impossibility that both could be decent places.

Leave it Al Golden to make Biscayne Bay a bad place.

Are you surprised? At least we haven't brought up Coach D.

Not impressed with Biscayne Bay? Interesting.

I never implied that PortMiami was on the beach, I did imply that it is exponentially more aesthetically pleasing than a river in Tennessee. This isn't even debatable.

You act like the average fan owns a yacht and is going to tailgate like that. Come on.

If Washington and Tennessee could fill a river with boats, Miami will absolutely be able to. There would be huge charters out there I bet.

However, it's never going to happen.

Highly doubt it. Have you met Miami fans? On second thought, you're right, they might fill up the boats, but they'll stay on them, and not go to the games.

Sadly, no......I do think Duke could have moved a cruise ship through our DLine at some points in that game, with Highsmith still not being able to get a hand on it.

I was planning on partying on your boat so I wasn't concerned with the average fan.

Nope, never met a single Miami fan ever. Just me at Sun Life by myself. At least the concession lines aren't that long.

I'll bring the boat, you bring the hoes

It's not as if The U had a choice.... Where else can they play? As for Ross letting them out of the contract, he know's it's a bad deal for the school and should be fair and reasonable..... It would do a lot for his reputation in South Florida....
....And that Stephen Ross is a massive douche.

http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sports-buzz/

I am not a fan of Ross in general, but why should he walk away from a favorable deal? I hope the new stadium works out and that Miami can end up playing there, but how many of your would let someone you made a deal with walk out on it b/c they found something they liked better?

That's a bigass river. Or is that technically a creek?
