We are currently witnessing the greatest resurgence of UM football since who-flung-the-chunk.

So close to our first of many National Championships over the next five years, where it's painfully obvious we'll double the NC trophys in our case.

Golden was sandbagging our opponents the last few years, setting them up, time and again, so that he could run the table in 2015 with no one paying attention.

And Golden is actually the brains behind the banners - again - misdirection designed to cause opponents to lower their guard.

Saban! You're on notice.

And realisticly ask yourself who would come here to coach UM if UM fired Golden. Schools nowadays throw millions of $$$ to facilities to entice recruits to choose their school. A small private school like UM can not compete in those levels.

The banners are attracting attention to the dumpster fire that is Miami football under Al Golden. And, I do not want to hear 4-0 after an undermanned small conference team gets blown out on national TV. Get back to me after FSU, VT, Clem...........

its the same few butt buddies that are the vocal minority. trust me, the reality is that most Real canes fans know we are turning the corner.
these banners make us look weak and weakens recruiting. the players believe in this coach (almost no transfers in two years) they think of him as a father figure and these idiots (must be noles/moles) bringing us down.
next thing you know they will start flying them at high school games........... and they will try and rationalize it.
here comes the: I am goldens wife, work for the u, blah , blah, blah.
 
Don't listen to these guys man. We've turned things around. We beat Nebraska and FAU for petes sake! No one transfers from here so they must love Golden, except for the ones who transferred.

The banners make us look bad because it destroys recruiting. No one else's fan base does anything like this. Its specific to Miami. not Texas or any SEC teams. Miami is the only one with bad fans who does things "crazy" like expressing disapproval for a coach by flying a banner.

This hurts us in recruiting because I say so. Do you want evidence of this? I can't find any, but take my word for it, players are worried about fans flying banners and not coaches underperforming or running schemes that don't suit their skills. They make their decisions based on banners entirely and not how each coach will help their future.

how many players transferred this year? last year? players love this coach, that is a fact. and many see him as a father figure , those my man are facts. you are basically ****ing on the players!!!!

will the banner help us win away games or home games? No!
will the banner tell recruits that there is a small number of ridiculously immature fans at the U? ..............ummm, that's a yes.

the guys who support the banners are the same guys that say Golden has done more damage to the program than Shapiro. that should tell you enough of their thought process or lack there of.

Which is more responsible for the losses Miami has sustained over the last four plus years? The loss of nine scholarships over three years, or Al Golden? Who do you try to recruit? The best HS players. Where do the best college players end up? The NFL. That's as good as it gets. So if he can't win more than six games with a roster that was stocked with NFL players, what difference does it make that he didn't have those scholarships? If he can't win with NFL guys, why is there any expectation that he'd win even if he signed the nine best players coming out of HS?

Golden's decisions and Golden's actions have caused far more harm to UM than either the sanctions or "the cloud."
 
Lord have mercy...........so you are saying Shapiro actions only cost Miami scholarship reductions?? had nothing to do with the threats of death penalty and loss of caliber players because of no bowl appearances and the negative recruiting. ok, Shapiros actions only cost us a reduction and this occurred in a total vacuum nothing else. you are not that dumb? are you?? is this Shapiro??

you know, this statement tells me all I need to know about the simple minded banner folks. you guys simply all have Alzheimer's and have forgotten about the three years prior. ****, seriously, I want what you guys are smoking

After Miami opens a can of the whoop *** on Cincy Thursday nite, Al Golden may re-think his position on the banners. Every coach I played for was superstitious and if Miami goes 4-0 with banners flying, he may not want them to go away.

Take my word for it, random guy on message board, the players hate Golden! Don't believe me? That's a fact! They see him as a loser and can't wait to leave. By saying you defend Golden, your pretty much taking a giant steaming dump all over these players faces. I don't support that.

What will the banners accomplish?

Will they get recruits to commit? Yes
Will they pressure the BOT to fire this clown? Definitely
Will they get people like you ****ed off? Of course
Will they cure world hunger? Probably
Will they solve the civil war in Syria? Yes
Will they lead to the next break through in quantum physics? Too early to tell but it looks likely.

The guys who don't support the banners are the same guys who can't figure out the Shapiro allegations had little actual punitive effect on us except for the mythical cloud that must have improved recruiting because strangely Goldens worst class was without the specter of sanctions hanging over the program. And these sanctions are so punishing Ohio State only won the national title with the exact same punishment.
