Al Golden is NOT a fit for UM. His stubbornness is pathetic and our defense plays with their hands tied behind their back. I want the guy GONE as bad as everyone else.
I am one of the BRING BUTCH BACK people. I think he would come back and finish what he started.

Gotta love these people calling for Golden's head. The CEO is not going anywhere. Does he need to make some drastic changes? yes!! But do you think UM will now fire the one coach who stood through the whole NCAA fiasco and kept this team as focused as could be? **** no.
And realisticly ask yourself who would come here to coach UM if UM fired Golden. Schools nowadays throw millions of $$$ to facilities to entice recruits to choose their school. A small private school like UM can not compete in those levels.
Enjoy Golden and support the guy because he is the best UM will have for a looong time!

The response was that they've already sold 10,000 more season tickets then last year and that true fans will continue to support the U.

I don't contribute to the banners or necessarily agree with them, buy they shouldn't ruin anything of yours or the players.

Oddly enough, the banners may have an adverse affect that those who are flying them never intended. It could be a rallying cry for the team as a whole. Should that be the case, we all win since the team wins.

What would be infinitely ironic is if this resulted in Miami keeping Al Golden long term because the team was able to rebound from last year and galvanize to have a successful season in spite of the uproar from the masses to can the head coach..

Agree 100%. The irony is, they dont accomplish the purported childish goals. Golden's future will depend on what he does on the field, and who is available to replace him.

My sentiments exactly. I've never supported the banners (financially or otherwise) but as a fan who spends a fair amount of time on various Canes sites I can see that the fan base is super frustrated. I understand their pain.

I also think the banners could ultimately lead certain factions within the BoT to want to keep golden thru 2016 just to avoid being beaten in the arena of public opinion. (quite a bit of irony there).

Respectfully disagree. The banners have the opposite effect, they reinforce the belief that we have immature ******* "fans", and the BOT does not want to be seen as giving in to these type of "fans". Additionally, they really do hurt recruiting, so you are making the program less attractive to a future coach.
