BANNER LINK

Perception is reality and this comes off as a shot at him being religious. That may not be the intent but not everyone thinks like you.
I just don’t see it. The statement in no way makes a judgment about religion. Unless u think any reference to religion is offensive, this isn’t offensive.

The religious comment is good. When you consider Richt is a religious man, it's quite ironic.

Why do you think dragging his personal life into this is a good idea? Take a shot at the mans loyalty and his ****** offense. Just not a fan of how that line will be perceived.

Your realize a lot of our players and recruits are very religious. One reason richt connects with the kids and family’s so easily and is consider trustworthy instead of snake.

I haven’t read this whole thread...but are you asking for donations for a banner without deciding on the message.

The mention of the 10 commandments brings context to the point about his offense.

The only person who would take offense to that statement, is someone who would be offended by any reference to religion.

Which is exactly why he needs to be exposed for the snake that he is and in his/their own language!!!

No it doesnt. It clearly comes off as a shot at him for being a thief/fraud.

It does that too. Just us

Which is half of our country. I’m not religious what so ever. But I’m smart enough to realize this is going to offend anyone who is.

I think it is funny and to the point but when your trying to get your way from a bunch of business professionals(BOT and the athletic director) coming off in any way childish is going to make your point look bad.

Useful idiots!

Hey Einsteins, you think that convincing recruits that Miami's Head Football Coach and Athletic Director are going to be fired by flying those idiotic banners will inspire them to sign with the Canes?

Useful idiots!

F'ing Clowns!

I think you are missing the point RBL. It certainly isn’t clear that it comes off as a shot about being a thief if others on this thread took it differently. Just because you see things one way doesn’t mean it’s how everyone sees it. You will have a stadium full of fans and media that will see it and each take it differently.

I’m religious and not offended by it. But I think it misses the mark of the message and can see how someone can read it and think it’s a play on words as a cheap shot at Marks faith...and if one does read it that way, it comes across very “Tennessee esque”. Remember folks. This is senior night AND a pretty big weekend of recruits are here. Ur hearts in the right place and I’m as disgusted as anyone but not so sure this banner will have the effect you are hoping.

If you are gonna fly it, at least consider the right message. That hits the point without any potentially perceived backhanded cheap shot

Lets be real the banner isn't going to do anything just like it didn't do anything to Butch and to Golden. On field results matter and thats all.

You don't think Richt has already made a choice whether he's going to make changes this reason, of course he has, for our sake hope he makes the right ones

If the banner was something simple like “Hire an OC” then I’d be all for it.

But attacking religion is just dumb, childish, and petty.

This banner is incredibly stupid and yes, offensive.

So, as others have pointed out this is Sr. day. You condone a negative shot at the coach on that day then? Even though recruits will be there?

Is a person wearing a rainbow afro holding a religious sign at a sporting event also "incredibly stupid and yes, offensive"?

The risk is flying this banner may result in the conversation after the game being about religion, not the lack of a real OC. Attention will be drawn towards a topic that has nothing to do with why the banner is flown in the first place.

I wonder if the anti-religion people on here understand how smug they sound.

Way to divide the fanbase on something totally tangental and irrelevant.

Have a problem with the offense? Fine, that’s something most of us agree with. Just leave Jesus out of it.
