Baker and Lashlee need to learn from this Boston College game

Doesn't make a diff if you can't pass protect.

Watch the ND/Pitt game again.
Their RB's ran something like 40 times for 65 yards.
The huge difference was that they were able to pass protect, give Book some time, and open up some lanes for scramble yardage.

The same goes for the BC QB. They can attack deep because the QB has more than 2.2 seconds.

BC also has an OL that allows you to attack.

Venables just overwhelmed Miami OL.

Make no mistake Clemson is without their 3 best defenders which is huge too.
That's the lesson. Get a BC like O line.

Maybe they need to wear the face shield instead of mask that cover their mouth. Players can’t see what they are saying or trying to get called it. Also the neck gaitor doesn’t stop the China flu.

I get it, Lawrence isn’t playing. But that has nothing to do with Clemson’s defense getting worked

Sometimes you just have to attack.

BC is attacking on offense and defense. They aren’t letting Clemson dictate the game.

this is how you game plan
Two weeks to plan.

Clemson has 3 starters out on defense.

This is the #1 team, with loaded talent. There is no excuse. Whatever happened to the next man up. Not saying they won’t eventually win this, just commenting on their play so far.

Yep. We coached scared against them.
I don't think we necessarily coached scared on O. They dared our WRs to beat their CBs 1 on 1, and we took our shots downfield. Unfortunately due to our WRs lack of fight and our QBs less than stellar deep ball, it resulted in L after L.

That's the lesson. Get a BC like O line.

BC is starting a redshirt sophomore RT (128th rated OT, 3-star, low tier, mostly AAC offers), redshirt FR left guard (80th rated guard, 3star, lower tier P5 offers) and a redshirt junior center who was 240 pounds in HS with his only other offer from UMASS (only got BC off due to his brother).

Their LT is a transfer from Davidson (2 year starter) who started 7 games at LG for BC last year and kicked outside this year.

So.....from a recruiting standpoint, it's not hard. What we need is a coach who knows how to identify talent and toughness, then build a culture in that Oline room.

16 plays 24 yards in 2nd half for BC. 0-3 on 3rd down conversions.

Now that Clemson is playing with energy on defense BC can’t move it a lick.
This.

Clemson turns it on when they feel like it.

I don't get what people don't understand about this team, they haven't lost a regular season game in 2 years & haven't lost at home in 4 years... Idk why people think this is some kinda team that you can crack, you simply can't.

Teams only play them close when Clemson sleep walks & doesn't take their opponent serious, but as soon as they decide they wanna win, that's exactly what they do.

They're just simply head & shoulders above everybody they play with the exception of whichever SEC team (Bama or LSU) that is loaded with NFL players. They even handled Oh St last year & Oh St has a bunch of NFL players.

The only reason this game was even close was because Lawrence & 3 Defensive starters were out.
