The first availability report of the 2026-27 college football season has arrived for the Miami Hurricanes game against the Stanford Cardinal.

Let's go ahead and get this out of the way for those who are unfamiliar with how this works: ACC schools are required to share an availability report the week of kickoff to provide transparency on player status. Players are listed as:
  • Out (0% chance to play)
  • Doubtful (25%)
  • Questionable (50%)
  • Probable (75%)
The Hurricanes currently have two players listed as out, meaning they will be unavailable against the Cardinal on Friday night. Tight end Luka Gilbert will miss the entire season after injuring himself during the summer, while the big news regarding cornerback Ja'Boree Antoine broke recently. There were rumors swirling sustaining that he was injured in camp.

On the other hand, if you haven't already noticed, Stanford will have a handful of players out. The offensive line and the defensive back groups were hit the hardest, combining for a total of eight unavailable players during Friday's ACC clash.

Does Out (no availability ) only mean due to injury or can it be for other reasons? I’m wondering if some of the Stabford kids are out due to team violations? That list is so long it’s crazy.

So Lyle is available? Unexpected.

I doubt he’s available. Mario will probably announce any suspensions right before the game.

This is injury only. Not sure if suspended players have to be listed on this. Anyone know the rule on that? Essentially you don’t have to put someone on this list and you can still select to not play them. Lyle is technically not hurt.

I thought the news that broke recently was that Antoine’s injury wasn’t serious. Was that fake news?
