Employee appreciation day is a big deal, because it helps massage the average a bit. Used to be that was always the Temple game in the Big East days....

56,795 announced crowd. In the stadium, looked more like 45k-ish butts in seats. Decent turnout. It was pretty funny -- for most of the game, the 7-8 sections in the sun were almost completely empty, and the sections in the shade were almost full. People were shifting around with the sun all game.

I was wondering this. Sounded like way more people than what you could see on TV and was wondering about the seats in the Sun.

It was insanely hot today. One of the hottest at Hard Rock to date.

There were def 50k+ in attendance. Enthusiasm was good but the game was pretty methodical so the crowd never hit max volume.

The move the chains announcement is super annoying and needs to be gone yesterday.

Thinking and hoping this will be a fun year.

I was hoping for about 5k more than we got but agree it wasn’t bad considering the opponent and the heat (which was pretty bad).

Felt great to see us look like a disciplined well coached team. Everyone seemed to have the same feeling.

45-50,000 for Bethune. Positive influences on attendance = buzz around Cristobal, the in-state HBCUs Bethune/FAMU always draw better than you'd think because of area alumni who just want to come out, have a good time and support their team and band. Negative influence on attendance = it's gonna be mother ****ing hot.
It was beyond hot. Massive problem.

Probably 45k -48k actual attendance. It was so insanely hot and the game was obviously very lopsided, so the concourses were packed for much of the game, making it look less full than reality.

The fans who had to sit in sun majority of game on the visitor sideline, salute to those who actually sat in their seats.. No way I could do that.. I would think majority of people in concourses were from that side.. The band in their full getup wow.. I see Bethune band took their time going back to their seat after halftime performance..

Anyway gonna be back out there again tomorrow for that jackson st vs. famu game, should be another one..

I couldn’t believe how hot it felt in the parking lot. Maybe I’m getting old but I can’t even imagine how we watched a game in that stadium without the roof.
I remember. I recall feeling absolutely drained by the heat after a game to the point where I couldn't do much else. Wasn't unique to JRS, this was the OB too.

Yesterday wasn't too bad as long as you were in shade. There was a significant difference between being in the shade and in the sun, since there was some breeze at least.
