It's been a criticism of Mario literally every off-season and every coaching search. That's nothing new. And with a successful start to the season, there's not much reason to reference it because it's not relevant -- he was winning.

But, nobody should be surprised that the more a coach loses, the more these criticisms are voiced and the louder the noise gets.

My thought is he just doesn’t have a large coaching tree to select from. Besides the fact he seems to have a rep for being difficult to work for.

Mario is a polarizing character in the CFB world. There’s no middle ground with him, just like CIS.
