2028 Asher Ghioto 5* DE/DT from Jacksonville, FL (Bolles HS)

This was my second time seeing five-star Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles EDGE Asher Ghioto this offseason. The first time was at spring practice, where he was dominant and showed why is ranked as the No. 7 overall recruit in the country for 2028. It was more of the same at the camp on Sunday. At 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, Ghioto, who staying in 2028 as opposed to reclassifying to 2027, is continuing to fill out his frame nicely. He plays with terrific power and looked explosive going through drills. Ghioto is also very intelligent and really paid to the instruction from Miami defensive line coach Jason Taylor.

I talked about this with @gogeta4 a few years ago I believe. As good of a program as Bolles is as whole, they don’t often put out Miami caliber prospects. Aside from Mac Jones and Theus, historically they are majority a group of lower tier prospects who are coached well and play sound football in all 3 phases.

I believe Miami is setting the pace early in the process for Jacksonville, Fla., The Bolles School teammates in the Rivals300’s No. 8 player overall in edge Asher Ghioto and four-star running back Xander Edwards. ​


 
I was thinking the other day, this kid honestly seems like a perfect kid to pop early somewhere and recruit just as hard as the staff. I kinda hate the word ambassador for some reason, idk it sounds too diplomatic for me. I prefer alpha leader who attracts other dogs. This kid strikes me as one. He’s got the temperament and attitude for it and more importantly, he’s one of the best players in America and plays a no nonsense position.

If he wants to jump on board now and become the true leader for ‘28, I’d be cool with it.

Their mid to lates 90s teams were STACKED

Robert Pollard, was a national top 50 recruit, but had to transfer to Orange Park in 95 for his senior year. Err’body wanted him and he signed with Nebraska in their 96 class

Their ‘96 team was #1 in the country but got beat in the state title game when their QB got hurt early in the game.
They had at least 7 guys go to Bama, FSU, Florida and Louisville.

Sam Matthews, Cha’ron Dorsey, Travis Carroll, Chris Reier, Antonio Roundtree, William McCray, Tom Hilliard

At least 3 of these guys were top 100 type players

Yep. Said it on Saturday's podcast also. I didn't notice until Saturday night that the last camp was on a Wednesday.

I used to be skeptical about early commits but the clock has sped up by atleast 6 months. Also i heard his interview, he said when he commits, its done. Aint decommitting. He sounds like he is already a cane to be honest. Sounds like one of them ones who get excited to hear one of Cristobal bro style pep talks. Lol. Plus JT is weapon for recruiting these DL.
