Article: ESPN 150 List Released

Yea, I mean all of Miami's commits thus far are 4 Stars except one, on ESPN with the exception being Ray Lewis III who is a 3 Star.

I just don't understand how you can list a player at 6'3 or 6'2 and them only measure in at 5'10 or 6'. I understand giving a kid an inch but 2 or 3 inches is ridiculous.

What does the board think in terms of WR recruiting this year?

Kearse is up in the air at what position he plays, but if Miami was taking one WR commit who would you want? (Someone Miami has a legit chance at)

The ESPN 150 was just released. Some Notables

Keith Bryant - #70
Standish Dobard - #131

Mackensie Alexander - #6
Matthew Thomas - #20
Jordan Cunningham - #32
Leon McQuay III - #34
Artie Burns - #67
Travis Johnson - #71
Kevin Olson - #77
Hunter Henry - #100
Levonte Whitfield - #125
Jermaine Grace - #150

Also
Maquedius Bain - #35

Remember this, the season still hasn't begun. Some players will drop in ratings and some will rise in ratings. I think more will rise than fall though. Some will add an extra star or two. We will see. Hope we get them all. For some reason I have a good feeling for Travis Johnson think he can be a good WR/TE like a Winslow.

I'm not the biggest Fulwood fan. But, maybe I'm just missing something. I know he has great size and had amazing stats this past season, but I just don't think he moves well.

The coaches are also obviously not in love with him either since they havent offered him despite his high rating and attending Golden's camp last summer.

other than Fulwood I do like Travis Johnson, I know there have been talks about moving him to TE, they can use him like K. Winslow... in the slot as a match up problem...

Bah....inside the Hecht......bunch a rookies. More importantly, what does D$ think.

I'll take them both. I think Bryant is better now, and Bain has more upside because of his size. His frame is huge, long arms, big hands, etc. and he's nowhere near filled out. But if I wasn't so worried about Bryant's maturity he'd be my pick.

What do you think about Bostwick relative to these 2?

I just sure hope we can land all 3. Senat too if we could find a way, but 4 is being greedy and probably unwise given roster limitations.

If you are a Gator commit, does that automatically put you in the ESPN Top 150? Talk about undue influence from the larger subscribing sites!!! They definitely have some quality kids, but c'mon now. It's like the FSU Warchant/Rivals connection.

And being 2nd best in the state is so bad? Lol, in the thread where he commit there is a top ten in state of LA and Standish was number one fwiw.

Nope. Never said Dobard is bad. I have him as a 4* and top 10 TE in the '13 class, but he's not top 150 caliber either. I'm only going off highlight film though, so it's possible that the LA guys know him better than I do. I like Dobard better than Smith btw, just saying consensus is that Smith is better.

I still like Cunningham best, but not if he's 5'10". He just doesn't have a game that is well-suited to that (lack of) height. Even at 6'1" he's still the best WR that we have a reasonable shot at though. I like Travis Johnson a lot as well, but not as much as I like Cunningham. Johnson doesn't have Cunningham's suddenness and so he has a harder time getting separation. Johnson has a HUGE frame though...definitely a big, box-out type of WR.

Here's an article I wrote that includes my thoughts on Cunningham. FWIW the site owner (Charles Drake) likes Cunningham even more than I do.

hearing from ND friend that the white boy TE (Heurman or whatever) is all cane atm. tifwiw

Credible Source?

I was actually on an ND Board and the moderators believe ND has a real good shot at getting him. He is making a return trip to South Bend.

let me get to the bottom of this. he's dropping cryptic ****. might be trollin me. I'll update when I can

my apologies, but I was being ****ed with. still think this one could go our way. the Lamers think they're going to get him now. if OSU is on the outside looking in, I think that helps us

Bigtip, I don't have any friends who are either associated with, or even casually root for ND.

Thusly, my life is good.
