Areas of optimism this season?

Number 1- I am excited as **** to see what Richt will do this season. I expect that this team will be his least talented while at Miami, and I don't think talent is the biggest issue. I think depth and getting quality coaching for the current roster are bigger concerns right now. If a kid doesn't buy in, boot em . . . still can't replenish entire roster with one class.
Number 2- I am really excited about what BK will become with a real staff.
Number 3- And to be honest I can't believe what Im about to write, but for ****'s sake I can't wait to see what Kool is going to do with the DL.

will be a completely different team JUST BECAUSE OF THE COACHING. As OP said, team will be the least talented in CMR tenure for the next 10 years. I believe Diaz and Kool gone take it to the next level.

Looking forward to the running game with FB blowing dudes up and physical Miami football to compliment BK.

Brad Kaaya's production with college level route combinations and play calling.

Just glad I can pull for us to beat FSU now. I have been pulling for it the last few but always have conflicting feelings and knew we were better off losing.

This year, going into that last defensive stand with the lead, I'll be happy as **** when Shaq lays Cook out to end their drive and the game.

Basically just optimistic that we actually found a coach that you know is the right fit

Coaching. It better be a upgrade the likes of which have never been seen.

If CMR is in the upper half of coaches, it should be amazing. The three worst HCs in college football history, Fester, Radio and Folden, none who have ever gotten a real coaching job since.

He may have one game a season against teams with equal talent. Maybe. This year, I'd say ND and FSU are no better, the rest are way below us.

We should win the **** Coastal, the worst division in college football every year, EVERY time.

I do pray this is not a happy retirement, win one more game a year than Folden, smile and quote scripture while losing, thing. Thats what UGA looked like the last 6 or so years.....

We should win the ACC more often than not.

Maybe. I'd say he is what he is. 100% immobile, inaccurate, a one read lock on aimer, who has shown an amazing ability to never make a play when it matters.

In other words, he's soft.

I get that Richt never won the big one in Athens, but he won 10 games a year in the SEC.

CMR is def in the upper 10-15 coaches. In fact, name 15 you would take over him.

I do agree we should be much more improved. We are razor thin at LB right now. I love the DL. We are thin in the secondary, but it doesn't feel as dire now. Nothing an ankle can't change!

We have a top 5 qb. We have quality running backs even if none of them are great. We are thin at wr, but I do think we are talented there. I love our TEs. I think we lack a little on the OL as well. Should this team win the ACC? Should this team win the Coastal? IDK, but I can't wait to see the product on the field.

Finally having the security in my head that the coaches are teaching the right way to play Miami ball and not being frustrated that its the head coach failing us because he wont change because of ego

nah.. he wasn't calling plays at UGA "the last 6 or so years....." In continuing to coach he wanted to coach offense, QBs again instead of being HC CEO, and that says he's far from a "happy retirement".

1- the strength and nutrition programs seem night and day from what we had before. I can't wait to see our team finishing games the way they started (think FSU 14', Nebrasks '15). Also our team will not fall apart by the end of the year. I think the tempo that the team is practicing at will help against up tempo teams that gave us fits in the past.

2-TFL's and sacks by our D. Can't wait to see us rolling 2 deep on the line and getting. In the backfield all day.

3-Offensive game plans that are more than one drive. The difference between Richt and Coley should be huge.

4-Special teams should be much improved. Golden using up OLinemens red-shirts so they can be on the punt team???? WTF

5-Brad Kaaya being coached up by Mark Richt......I think he can have a year like Aaron Murray's junior year which would be
Huge.

6-OLine experience - our line last year was one of the greenest around. I think the new strength program and coaching will
make a huge difference. I don't think they're world beaters, but they should be much better than what we had last year.

7-LB's that are aggressive and lay the wood. I went back and watched full games from these two last year and they are going
to be major upgrades, even as true freshman. Pinckney's game against Booker T reminded me of how Dan Morgan would diagnose
plays and be everywhere on the field. Shaq will flat out knock you in the mouth - reminds me of Perryman only bigger. Grace will be
better used in space and blitzing than being an ILB taking on blocks.

8-The work of coach Kool. 4 & 5* recruits getting their body's in shape, being taught great technique and the. Releasing the hounds!

I haven't been this ready for a season to start!!! I'm flying down for FSU, driving to VT and ND road games.
