Fans are singularly driven. They
only want to win. There is
nothing wrong with that.
BUT ...I wouldn't ever depend on using popularity amongst a majority fans to make decisions on who's running the team or who plays.
Most fans have all kinds of strange skewed perceptions on what makes a team successful.
Many of the fan developed boxes being thrown out there by some posters ( with the exception of proven successful HC coaching experience ) on what our new HC should have...have been tried here recently and proven to be pure high grade BS.
Should be a Miami product is the one that continually amazes me. Our most successful coaches had never set foot in Miami before except for vacations.
I seriously doubt that our fans today, at the time, would have selected Schnelly or JJ as their choices.
How those two momentous program changing decisions were made is the magic we have to bring back here, because it's clearly not here now
I simply hope we resurrect that decision making mindset and select a driven, successful proven HC
I couldn't care less if he's the fans choice.
